Planter Happy by Deborah Davies

I have taken my gardening to another level! I decided I would like some wooden planters. I liked the idea of recycling therefore I got some used pallets. I had to break them apart being careful not to split the wood. I now have muscles on my muscles, its very heavy duty work. When I carefully measured and started building them my confidence grew. I was gobsmacked I had actually made something with wood, I am very proud of myself. Now Mum wants a set just like mine!

Two travel mini kits for male and female.

Bushy by Vicki Avcin

Since the last devastating fire season here in Australia, all sorts of offers and memorabilia have been made in order to raise money for different charities that have assisted both people and animals that were impacted by the fires. In February, an offer was put out for a limited edition figurine of a little firefighter with a little koala. All money raised from the sale were to go to the RSPCA Nation Bushfire Appeal to assist with helping with caring and rehabilitation of the animals either injured or those found whose habitat had been destroyed. From the orders they raised $AU750,000 for the appeal. Its sad to see so many offered on Ebay now as majority of people I think purchased to keep and the money would go to the RSPCA but some brought up big so they could make a profit themselves which means the profits they are making wont go to a worthy cause. Hubby ordered one and a couple of weeks ago they were sent out. Our little Bushy will join all the other fire related teddy bears and things I have collected over the years. Isnt it so cute?

This weeks designs are one from my Thinking of You collection and the other from my Sentimental Floral collection

Science experiment during isolation by Judith Henry

The great science experience. The girls found two caterpillars on a milkweed plants. They sent me a picture and actually had to use an arrow to point them out. They put the leaf in a caterpillar mesh cage and watched them grow, turn to a chrysalis and then a butterfly. You can tell from their faces this was a miracle happening right before their eyes. What a great mom to help them learn something each day during this time.

However the sun has brought oput all the lovely summer wildflowers which are blooming along the highways, byways, footpaths and field edgesetc and are looking soo soo beautiful! I took this photo at the edge of a field just a few minutes walk from my front door! lol

Social Distancing by Judy Potts

With the new social distancing rules in place it hasnt been easy to not hold my Grandchildren. They are growing up so fast and I feel like Im missing alot with them only seeing them from afar. I havent been designing as much as I used to but being able to still do so has definitely kept me sane. My Step-Daughter recently graduated Grade 8 and I was able to get a few photos. I designed a new fold out card thats very cute. As well as a birthday card for my daughter whose birthday is on July 4th-Independence Day ironically.

Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? No, its... by Janice McFarlane

...Super Harry! I think most children like to play dress up, and with lots of places now selling off the peg costumes for children they can be their favourite characters from princesses to super heroes in an instant. Not like back in the day when I was a child, when we raided our mums clothes and put on high heels which of course were far too big for little feet, and kind of shuffled, scraped and click clacked along the floor trying not to trip up. If we wanted a cape it was a sheet draped round our neck, with usually kitchen utensils as helmets, swords and magic wands. We also had to use a lot of imagination, but that was part of the fun. Harry who is now 3 is well into his Super Heroes and received a few costumes for his birthday back in May. Now its just a case of which one he wants to be. Or just like Harry, Super changes into Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man within minutes.
