I ... by Carol Clarke

... Walk past this wonderful old sign a number of times a week and it never fails to make me smile! I think it might just be worth the 40 shillings to open the gate and leave it open! lol Oddly this is in Nottinghamshire and not Yorkshire ... and is just over a level crossing that has manual gates so it might be better placed on those! lol Below are two of my newest designs ... Watch out for more ... Coming Soon!

The Dog Rose by Janyce Cotterill

I often have my nose stuck in hedges this time of year as I am intoxicated by the heady perfume of the dog rose. I can never resist it. However I took my camera along this time and captured the simple stunning beauty of the flower so often overlooked. When the flower fades she so kindly gives up rosehips, often used to produce a rich in vitamin C syrup. I can remember taking the syrup as a child. Today it is made into other things such as jams, teas, cordials, a coulis and even biscuits! The wild hedgerow offers many hidden treasures to us and wildlife. So often overlooked, so often dug out...they should be treasured. Im leaving you with my latest handyman mini kit and an older sheet on a similar theme. Thank you for your interest. I hope you all continuing to stay safe. These are difficult, strange and sad times. Thinking of you all.

Harry turned... by Janice McFarlane

...3 in Lockdown. Last weekend saw this little firecracker turn 3, although he was insisting he was 4. Whilst he would normally have had a party my daughter, son in law, Alfie and Harry had a wonderful day. The sun was shining, it was warm and they had a BBQ, although from the pictures that they sent me far too much food for 4 people. Harry seemed to like though as he tucked in. Harry was spoilt for gifts, and his favourite characters are Spiderman, Captain America, Thor, Sky and Marshall from Paw Patrol. Quite an eclectic mix lol. He has a lovely day all in all, the only disappointing thing for me was his birthday card which I made for a change, with all his favourite characters on in a twist n pop style and posted well before his birthday, didnt arrive until Tuesday. It would have been quick via carrier pigeon, but nevertheless, Harry loved it once he received it.

Close Up by Tina Fitch

Couldnt resist showing you this beauty taken of course from RAF Lakenheath... Now lock down has eased its time to get out,, I have never felt so cooped up in all my life.. And I bet I am not the only one..Social distance at all times though I have to admit, I really dont want this awful virus..Weather has been so lovely for weeks as soon as we were allowed out I had to get out and too my fave place ..In fact I wasnt the only one there was loads of people out and about.. Traffic quite busy too which I really didnt expect, but I suppose after 10 weeks indoors you need some space to escape too..Hoping things start to look up now...see you next week

Customer Feedback:

Thank you for a brilliant site!

Full credit to all on Craftsuprint, Staff, Designers', Crafters'! Love checking out to see what is new daily, we are so lucky to have you online, especially during isolation. The freebies are great also! So many compliments on the brilliant cards.

I made 30 Mother's Day cards & offered them to an Aged Care Home, & they said we have about 80 Ladies' here, okay, so went through what I had here, birthdays & whatever, changed & added verses, etc. later in the afternoon, 80 cards were accepted with the biggest smile & THANK YOU.

I said they are from many brilliant Staff & Designers' at Craftsuprint in England. I buy from you & make up cards for the lonely whether it be at home they live in alone or, sick or in Aged Care facilities at no cost to them, just what it gives to people. They have done the hard yards in their lives, a smile is magic.

You people have no idea where these cards you sell go to, honestly, they are so beautiful & we are so lucky to able to send them on! Such a brilliant site & THANK GOD for you, everyday I look on the site it is like a gift! [Actually I give my husband some cards for the lonely, he loves the hugs he gets.] Also with the lockdown to have cards to make has been a blessing!

May God bless you all!

Thank you!

Kayaking in Pennsylvania... by Janice Shehan

My daughter is an experienced and avid kayaker. She enjoys slow moving, peaceful rivers and lakes as well as white water events in the mountains of Pennsylvania. We have also taken rides down the Yochany River white water rafting. Tubing is another sport we enjoy in Pennslvania and Florida as well. Normally there are a dozen or so individuals participating and they have a terrific afternoon. She is considering purchasing a new kayak for these adventures.

Nanny Cut my Fringe by Helen Howell

Restrictions have slowly been lifted here in Oz and now we can have visitors stay overnight. So I was really pleased to have my little granddaughter stay with me. At 3 years old she is good fun and has a beautiful head of fine curly hair, but the poor lasss fringe was getting in her eyes, so Nanny came to the rescue with her nail scissors and trimmed up that unruly fringe. When done Alyssa gave it her seal of approval. Well done Nanny!

Its a PASS! by Vicki Avcin

In March I decided to take a leap and do a nationally accredited course about recognising and responding to Domestic and Family Violence. Ive had a fair bit to do with people who have been in abusive relationships and been able to help them get out of those relationships and into safe homes over the years, so I thought this course might give me more insight into supporting those people. With my daughter in the police force and my nephew in Child Safety it felt like something that was a natural progression for me to do. As a survivor helping people in abusive situations is something Ive always been passionate about. It is not only abuse in family situations but also in the workplace and the Fire Service is also very big on stamping out all forms of abuse and big in the prevention of Domestic and Family abuse. May was Domestic and Family Violence Prevention month for 2020 so very appropriate that I completed the course that month. The course covered everything from families, children, people with disabilities and the workplace. June 1 was my birthday and what better day to be awarded my certificate. So proud of my achievement. I obtained 91% on my first assessment and was happy with that but the final assessment was very tough, having to answer questions but also having to do 2 interviews and then transcripts of both interviews. These both had to be written and processes explained of why certain questions were asked. I nearly gave up a couple of times doing this final assessment but ended up with 100% on completion!! Because of the COVID pandemic there was no presentation and it was all a virtual graduation. I now have more knowledge and will be able to provide a lot more support to those who need it and that is something Im very happy about.

Sophie the centurion by Carol Dunne

My nine year old grand daughter is not able to attend school and like most children she has not been able to see any of her friends for quite some time. However she is has been doing her home schooling and got stuck into her Romans topic with great enthusiasm. Here she is with her Roman centurion hat, sword and shield and a very impressive Roman villa with pillars made from the tubes which were inside the new carpet.

We Found a Rose Garden... by Clare Walker

One of the unforeseen benefits of lockdown, for us, has been getting to know our immediate locality better. And as we gradually expand back out of it again, these newly-familiar places still have some surprises in store. For example, we knew that one of our local public gardens had benches, and looks lovely in the spring and autumn. But it was only through finding a bench on which to drink tea from a flask (isn`t it strange what becomes exciting?) that we discovered it also has none other than a small hidden rose-garden. These roses may have wilted a little in the heat, but their perfume, as well as the joy of finding them, seemed magical.
