VE day by Lesley Earing

My Son and Daughter in law have been doing a great job looking after my grandsons in this difficult time. Home schooling, safe exercising and keeping them out of mishchief whilst working from home. On one of their walks close to home last week they came across these great sights which deserved a photograph. So I thought I would share it with you all

I have added these great designs as they both have the poppy theme and make lovely cards.

Mothers Day - Iso Style by Vicki Avcin

Last Sunday was Mothers Day here in Australia but with restrictions on travel it meant the kids nor us could travel to spend the day with each other. Hubby came home from the shop on Saturday with a bunch of flowers which had this gorgeous big white flower. Just so different from the normal roses and carnations. After asking on our local gardening page, turns out it is Ornamental Kale. The only kale I know is something you eat not a pretty flower. So after investigation, it is a member of the cabbage family. Not really edible more of a decoration. Apparently they come in a lot of different colours in the cooler months of the year. Grown from seed it was off to ebay to see if there were any seeds for sale……. You know………you can find anything on ebay! I have found a mixed lot of seeds, so going to order some and see if Mrs Killeverything can grow some. 100 seeds in the pack so plenty of room for some hit and miss attempt to grow them. They say if you can grow cabbages then you can grow these. Well Ive never tried growing cabbage but I know that people do grow them around the area so what can go wrong? Then on Sunday a delivery from my daughter saw another beautiful bunch of flowers delivered. Phone calls too from all the kids and grandkids so turned out a really great day.

One card this week is one of my layered pop up designs (so easy to make) and the other is a Designer Resource of floral bouquets. Can be used on white card to make lovely notelets or with backgrounds.

Flying Wings by Tina Fitch

Ever since out youngest daughter was a small child she always went on about working for Virgin Atlantic, and how shed love to wear the uniform... I think this was due to always flying with them when she was small and we took our yearly holidays. We even had to buy her a red suit so she could pretend as she was growing up... Well she studied hard and got offered the training as you know which was 3 years ago now... and made the cut so she had earned the right to wear that Red uniform and serve the public and she was always so very proud to do so.Just recently its been in the new that Virgin will lose jobs and hers maybe on the line, She is devastated to say the least and is hoping it wont come to her losing her so longed for job... But we will have to see how that pans out in the future weeks to come.In the meantime Amber has participated in several videos showing how they work and how much their jobs mean to them.. In fact one made me cry they are all so passionate about it.As well as videos her Wings which she was presented with on passing all her exams has done the rounds also, Richard Branson used the photo of them taken by her fiance for many things since it was taken...The photo I have uploaded this week is Ambers wings and they look a bit distorted but in fact the photo is full of Virgin Atlantics crew faces.. they have added as many as they can into the photo..I think personally its a lovely touch and I feel very proud its my daughter wings doing the good deed!Dont for get Fathers Day 21st June.... I have many designs to suit the occasion..

Down ... by Carol Clarke

... the end of our road and just a few minutes walk from my front door is a lovely lane that runs between a field and a wood. At the moment it is looking sooo lovely with the wild garlic in full bloom. It also smells divinely of garlic too and makes my mouth water! lol A little further on down this lane there are bluebells and then fields with ponies. I sooo love that I get to walk here every day, Below are 2 of my Cute Little Pony Gift Box Cards - A great way to give a Card and a Gift Box all in one!!

Superwomen by Janice McFarlane

Last week I wrote about the teddies and hearts I crocheted for the Leicester Royal Infirmary nursing staff working on the Covid-19 wards. This week I was sent a picture of two of the staff who had received one of the teddies and hearts, which I felt very emotional about. It never ceases to amaze me of the dedication of all the keyworkers who, through this difficult period has worked tirelessly and at great risk during this terrible time. It was an honour to be able to give a small token of thanks and appreciation to a few in my area. We can never take for granted the sheer selflessness of what all the key workers have done for us, to make life bearable.

Billy Buttercup by Sue Way

To make a change from our beach walks, we have been taking Billy to a field close to our house. He loves feeling the grass under his paws and rolling in the buttercups. He looked so beautiful sitting in a field of gold in the sunshine so I had to snap some pictures. https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387
