Mask for the NHS and care homes by Gail Collins

My Son is a tailor and has his shop in Royal Wootton Basset, and so as they announced the lock down, he grabbed as much material and elastic as he could, he decided to make masks for the NHS and care homes he has made about 2 1/2 thousand so far m he has also made them for the police and paramedics, some one contacted the local paper and he was in there and also in the Gazzette, then people started to ask for masks. and they wanted to pay, so he has donated them to all hospitals and care homes and the public who paid a small sum for theirs helped to keep Mark in elastic etc. he got so busy that i have helped by trimming and turning them in the right way , i am so proud of him .

i hope you like my designs i have added, i love to so designs with flowers and animals or birds.i also love to take photos and make card designs with them .

Isolation by Vicki Avcin

How is everyone doing with their time in isolation? Hope you are all OK and not going too stir crazy where ever you are in the world. While being restricted to home with no training or meetings and only being able to go out to shops and firecalls I seem to have found a lot of time to be able to sit at the computer so decided to try a challenge using PSP, something Ive not done in a long while. Although I sit and design as much as I get a chance, Ive not just been able to sit and relax and get back to the old days when I first learnt how to tag and do digiscraps just for fun. No expectations, no deadlines, nothing other than just enjoy, so when one of the sites Im on decided to have a challenge I thought Id give it a go. It was a ton of fun looking for each new challenge daily and after 25 years of doing all this graphic stuff, I even learnt a couple of new things! That was really fun after all these years to still be able to learn something………. Just got to remember it now!!! So going through old photos and bringing back memories was a bonus too. The photo is some of my results over the past week

This weeks designs feature my own graphics of a couple that would be suitable for an anniversary, engagement or a very informal wedding

COVID 19 - Isolation for Crafters by Judith Henry

Watch out! It might all come tumbling down and I will be drowned in AC cardstock! Some of you have seen pictures of my guest room closet, home to Judith Henry Designs. But it extends beyond the 4x8 closet and into the bedroom. Since we are in Stay at Home status Ive had problems with keeping up with the scraps and putting away STUFF. Crafting all the time. Most people are spring cleaning but not me. I need to recycle my scraps and I do that with paper grocery sacks. So online ordering of groceries come in plastic bags. Im running out of paper sacks along with toilet paper. Chuckle.I have been busy as a bee designing and crafting! What else is there to do? Watch Hochanda TV, what else ;-)

Gathering Dust by Janyce Cotterill

Using the camera on my mobile phone is the norm these days. The quality of lenses in these remarkable devices is so good I rarely take out my other cameras these days. However these days are not normal days. We have more time to think and ponder, so I decided to dust down my old camera and beautiful macro lens I used to use for close-up pictures and set off on a little walk yesterday in search of some flowers. These are some of the exquisite beauties I came across up a country lane. Id forgotten the thrill of seeing the exquisiteness of nature so close up. I hope they give you a little lift and while a lot of us are stuck indoors for now, its a reminder that nature is still doing her thing as spectacularly as ever, outdoors. Just leaving you with one of my latest sheets and another a little older one but on a similar theme. Take care everyone, stay safe and Ill perhaps bring you another few photos soon.

Thank You NHS by Janice McFarlane

Well I wonder how we are all coping in lockdown mode? I think I have a touch of Cabin Fever, dont know what day it is most of the time lol. A friend sent me a message the other day to say she has lost it. She went outside to clap for the NHS, was clapping and cheering and then wondered why no one else had come out. Only to realise it was Wednesday and not Thursday. If nothing else it gave us a good laugh. On another note, a Doctor from Leicester Royal Infirmary contacted a friend of mine to ask if people could knit or crochet hearts and possibly some little teddies to give to her staff working on the Covid-19 wards. I was more than happy to oblige with a contribution. I made a mix of teddies, bunnies and a couple of koalas, in scrubs, doctors white coats and even threw an original nurses outfit on a bunny. They were all clutching hearts. I also made a selection of individual hearts. All the hearts had a heartbeat embroidered on. this is because I wanted to relay the message that they are saving lives. The doctor is giving them to her staff, who then can give them to their families, because they are working such long hours. It was my honour and pleasure to contribute in a small way to our wonderful NHS just to let them know we care that they care.

Fluffy Eggs... by Clare Walker

It`s taken over 20 years of trying. 20 years in which I`ve got to grips with cakes, crepes, soups, stews, and even, on a good day, bread. But truly fluffy, melt-in-your mouth scrambled eggs always eluded me. Until this week (and time in lock-down to get them right). In case you`re wondering, the difference that made the difference appeared to be...beating them in a wide-topped glass bowl, like the one in the picture. As lock-down wins go, it was tiny, but delicious. Happy weekend, everyone.

Photography by Tina Fitch

Im just learning how to edit in photoshop! I find it very hard going really! Its quite a hard software program to use.I think this jet with the coloured background looks lovely but I dont really want to take away they genuine article by editing so much you dont recognise the original photo. Theres so many icons to learn and what exactly does what, this took quite a time really when Im used to paint shop pro.Ill keep trying LOL. This lockdown is certainly giving me cabin fever so need to try new things. Stay safe everyone
