Going Shopping by Vicki Avcin

Well I hope this weeks news finds everyone in these crazy times safe and well and doing what they can to keep clear of catching this horrible virus. I am working at our Local Government elections for the last two weeks and I really have no choice to interact with people. We are doing our best to do the safe distancing and keeping everyone well apart but where I am there are a lot of people that we have no control over on the footpaths where they are lined up outside. Inside I can tell people where to stand and when to go through to get their ballot papers and the big majority have been good. Just some couples who question why they have to be 1.5m apart when they sleep in the same bed. Anyway all our fire service training is cancelled as is meetings and anything apart from actually responding to fire calls. We have strict guidelines for when we have to do that too. As my hubby who had surgery two weeks ago was sitting at home he came up with this idea that as all his fire gear is sitting idle (he is off active service at the moment), he decided that he found use for his P2 mask and goggles for when he goes to the shops as the photo shows. I guess in these trying times we might all be resorting to this when we go shopping now.

This weeks promoted designs are another two of my recent uploads of my vintage style designs.

A Hairy-Footed Romance? by Clare Walker

Slowing down means I`ve noticed more, this week. Like this (male) hairy-footed flower bee, flying near our window-box wallflowers. Turns out that he has a prominent gold stripe, the females he seeks are predominantly black...And he`s chosen our wallflowers as a territory to defend in order to show his prowess. Which even means fighting off other males, just like many animals hundreds of times his size. How many other mini-wildlife dramas have gone on under our noses, unnoticed until now, I wonder?

Purple florals, (including these agapanthus, wallflowers and much more) are all 20% off in my shop this week. Happy crafting!

Heres the newly painted Aggressor based at Nellis AFB in Nevada I saw this in person for the first time whilst in Vegas! It slowly flexed out of Nellis on launching and I was really pleased to see it. Its name is Ghost given to the F16 Falcon by its pilot/Commander of the 57th fighter wing.Shame he didnt give us the thumbs up lol. But of course we understood why he couldnt whilst in flight. All my designs are now on SALE till end of month so fill ya baskets Stay safe everyone

As with the rest of the world... by Janice Shehan

We are hunkered down for the duration of this pandemic. I now have plenty of time to create new designs. We are safe, have food, clean fresh water, and a little bit of land to go outside and still be isolated. Im also planting some vegetable and herbs because we dont know how long this will last. Thank God, we are blessed!

A few cuties for Easter for your children.

Black Sheep by Carol Clarke

We are surrounded by countryside and I go for a walk most days but after going Hunter Gathering and picking over the leftovers in our local supermarkets I nearly didnt walk today .... but boyyy am I glad I did! My lovely black sheep are back in a field I walk over regularly! They are managed by the local Wildlife Trust & they moved them elsewhere for the winter. My sheep (I wont accept theyre not really mine! Lol) are sooooo friendly and come up to me for a sniff & a stroke .... and then they follow me to my next stile! I feel a little bit like Little Bo Peep! Lol Then I saw a pair of pheasants in the next field .... and I heard a blackbird singing for the 1st time this year Woohoooo am I glad I went for my walk! Below are two of my Butterfly & Flowers 3D Easel Card Mini Kits - these are great for lots of occasions!!

Isolated Fun by Janice McFarlane

Well we are currently experiencing, something we have never experienced before. Apart from the madness of panic buying shoppers, we are in lockdown. With schools being closed, parents are now have to be the teacher to try and give their children some education. Its also been difficult for parents to explain why their children cannot go and play with their friends or go to the park etc., thankfully we have had some sunny days recently so at least the children once they have completed their morning of school work and the daily P.E. sessions with Joe Wicks can have some fun. My two grandchildren, have spent quite a bit of time in the garden. They decided to give all the outdoor toys a good wash, then Harry had a lot of fun on the trampoline, and Alfie made a bed for his beloved Elephant. These are trying times for all of us, but my message is Stay Safe and Well, keep on Crafting and Designing.

Daffodils at Bodnant by Carol Dunne

Last week we thought we would have a ride out to one of our favourite places- Bodnant Gardens in North Wales. We timed our visit just right to see the magnificent display of daffodils, fields of them looking spectacular. Not to mention the magnolias and camellias all in bloom. Had we left it a day or two all the National Trust gardens would have been closed so we were very fortunate to have got there in time. Sadly now no one will be able to see all the beautiful spring flowers. Hopefully if we all do our bit to self isolate this business will be over soon. I would like to say thank you to all those key workers who are keeping not just my country going but all the other countries too, we would be lost without them.

A lovely walk in the sunshine. by Sue Way

In these difficult times I love walking Billy along the seafront even more than usual. Time to feel like everything is normal. The other day I spotted a couple of ducks sitting on a roof looking out to sea. Here are a couple of my best selling baby designs. Stay safe everyone https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387
