Back side view! by Tina Fitch

You havent seen the back view as yet have you? Well here is it and what a lovely view it is too! What ever way I look at this air frame it just makes me swoon. I absolutely love it, I shall be sorry when RAF Lakenheath put it out of service for the more up to date version the F35 Lightning.Yes they are stealth and a beautiful jet but I still will miss the Mighty F15 Strike Eagle, Their grace and stance in the sky is second to none in my opinion..They fly like an Eagle and looking at them I can understand why they call them Eagles..All files in all formats https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

A Marathon Day by Janice McFarlane

My daughter Kayleigh decided last year she would take up running, which I was surprised at as at school she was never a long distance runner, but represented her school as a sprinter and hated distance running. So I didnt think she would stick with it, how wrong I was. She wanted to shift some post baby weight which seemed to be just impossible to shift with diet alone, so running seemed the best option. There were plenty of areas to go running in and around RAF Benson where she lives. Fast forward nearly a year since she started, she took part in her first Half Marathon in Oxford, along with her running buddy Claire. Despite the fact it poured down all day, it didnt dampen her spirit. Kayleighs chosen charity to raise funds for was Centre Point, which gives helps homeless young people a future. She trained hard and Kayleigh and Claire completed the course in just under two and a half hours. I couldnt be prouder of her achievement. Next she wants to try the Great North run and eventually the London Marathon.

I Love ... by Carol Clarke

Walking and luckily have lots of lovely areas to go walking right from my doorstep. This photo was taken just 3 minutes into my walk ... its an area known locally as The Slakey I can only guess that at one time this had something to do with coal mining but now its a lovely green field that often has horses and ponies in it with a lovely stone wall at the side of the footpath. It will be a while before I can go for another walk though as at the time of writing I am about to go into hospital for an operation on my knee. But at least I have the photo to encourage me to work hard at the post op physio ... so hopefully it wont be too many weeks before I can don my walking boots and set off for a nice long walk again!! Below are 2 of my Christmas Diorama Shadow Box Cards, fabulous little cards that are simple to make but look really stunning when made up and will WOW the recipients. There are 2 layers inside these lovely cards that Pop Out automatically when the cards are opened. ** Also with the exception of the diorama layers all the rest of the decoupage in the kit is separate! .... So you can choose where or if you use it! And as theres lots of decoupage to choose from ... meaning you can make your card differently every time! **

Cheeky! by Vicki Avcin

We have about 50 or so Rainbow Lorikeets that visit each day. Afternoons they get fed at the feeder in the back yard and then disappear. Lately there is 2 that like to hang around in the hope that they might be able to scam a bit more seed from us. They will sit on the hibiscus bush in the front garden and this cheeky fellow has taken to coming and landing on us when we come out the front door. He also lands on hubbys arm as hubby takes the slop out to put in the feeder dishes and gets into the bowl before any of the others can have a feed.

Exhibition by Carol Dunne

Last weekend my art group had their 20th annual exhibition. I am a founder member and it is great to see so many people who now paint every week because of something I helped to set up. All the members are very friendly and will help each other progress. .I exhibited the two paintings shown below, they are of Staithes in Yorkshire. Me and my husband stayed there for a few days earlier in the year and I took lots of photos so I could paint them when I got home. Just as well really because I sold these two. I have another exhibition in a couple of weeks with a different art group so I will have to get cracking and paint some more pictures.

The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens - Indian Summer by Sandie Burchell

We have some friends visiting from England this week so we went up to Las Vegas today to the new exhibition at The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. This seasons display is called Indian Summer. It is so colourful with painted elephants, a talking tree, seed-covered tigers and thousands of flowers, celebrating Indias culture and traditions. When early explorers reached what in now North America, they thought they had reached India in the early fall. In writings they said they had found a new world with a warm climate and second harvest. They called it Indian Summer, which is the theme of the Bellagios autumn display that opened last Monday.Flowing water, 45,000 flowers, pumpkins and animatronics are incorporated into the design. My photograph shows the centerpiece which features a 14-foot-tall fairy with water flowing from her waist and wings of striking yellow, orange and red. The fairy is placed between two Asian elephants, each wearing a blanket made of 20,000 preserved roses and a Hathi Howdah, the covered seat atop the elephant that historically carried a ruler of the era. They blink with painted eyelids and spout water from their trunks. They change the displays every season but this is definitely the most colourful that I have seen and quite different from any I have seen there before.
