Now they are back up and running so all aircraft can return this being one of their tankers. As you can see by the photo the boom is even showing which I have never seen .. thats the part that refuels for those that dont know.Looking forward to RIAT now next week.. some stunning aircraft visiting..All files here in all formats https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

How does your garden grow? by Janice McFarlane

I love a pretty garden, although I could never do much myself due to back problems I loved to go to buy the plants and then place them where I wanted them planted and my hubby would oblige by planting them for me. Alas we dont have a garden to call our own anymore. We moved into a retirement bungalow a couple of years ago, and although it is lovely where we live, it doesnt have a garden we can freely plant in. The back is all lawn and a communal area, and the lawn is looked after by a gardener. We can have potted plants on our own little patio area, but I do miss looking out onto a pretty back garden. The hedge that runs along the bottom of the law area has some space, and one of our neighbours very kindly has planted some very colourful flowers all the way along, so everyone can enjoy a splash of colour when the look out or sit in their little patio area.

Powys Castle by Carol Dunne

We are members of the National Trust and quite often have a ride out to visit one of their properties. Last weekend was really nice so we drove out to Powys Castle, North Wales. It is a lovely castle inside with elaborately painted ceilings, unlike some castles which are mostly derelict this one has furnished rooms. The gardens surrounding the castle are delightful with many different flower beds on different levels. A lovely day out.

Here are two of my latest hexagon pop-out designs. More to come.

Jessicas Prom by Sue Way

Last Friday was our granddaughter Jessicas Year 6 Prom. She will be leaving junior school in a few weeks and starting at senior school in September. Where has the time gone? It only seems like yesterday that our first grandchild was born. She is such a little lady. There were lots of posed pictures on the day, but I absolutely loved this picture of her dancing and having fun with her friends. Its so natural and she looks so happy. This week I have added some insert for my Christmas Topper cards. They are all multi-linked so you wont have to hunt for them. I also added another Flower Scene Mini Kit. Thanks for looking x Sue xhttp://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Brisbane trip by Vicki Avcin

Last Sunday morning I had a phone call from my daughter in law to say that my son was in hospitalwith a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain. Not the call you want to get at 12.30am! He had been on a ladder putting roof cladding on their new pergola extension and the ladder had tipped sideways and he fell 3m to the ground earlier that day. Panic stations, how could I get down as I also have my husband ill with a clot on his right lung and it was also partially deflated. The next 48 hrs was something I wouldnt wish on anyone. Hubby had a Dr appt on Monday morning and until after that I couldnt go anywhere. Flying to Brisbane (a flight that takes 45 mins) was going to cost more than I could fly to Fiji so that was out, school holidays started on the Friday and the trains were booked with people leaving early to go on holidays and so after he Dr saying hubby would be OK I caught the shuttle bus down to Brisbane on the Wednesday. Daughter took me up to the hospital and I dont think my son and I have clung onto each other so much since he was a small kid. He slept most of the time I was there and after passing a cognitive test (memory) they let him home after 5 days. He was sleeping a lot so not a lot of conversation with him but just being together was what counted. My daughter and I had one day I didnt go out because I knew there were other people coming to visit so we had a girl day by firstly taking Jaylee, daughters dog to a big dog park. We got about half way round, throwing the Frisbee to Jaylee, when down came the rain. We thought wed be ok as when we got there it was sunny, but we ended up soaked even after trying to shelter under one of the big trees. Jaylee didnt mind running in the rain and just wanted to chase the Frisbee. After we went home and got dry clothes on, we went out and spent an hour at the airport plane spotting, then some take away for dinner before heading home. Back out to see my son the next day before I came home the following day. He is improving slowly but cannot drive or go to work or do anything for that matter other than rest so it was a little easier leaving him knowing he is improving little by little each day. Not the best trip down to Brisbane Ive had and hopefully when I go down in a few weeks time it will be a lot better trip.

Ive Been Here Again! by Janyce Cotterill

Its nigh on 26 years since I first saw the magnificent Bass Rock, off the East Lothian coast in Scotland. I never tire of seeing it, or watching the gannets fly in and fly out, breed there, nest there, raise their young there. It is estimated over 150,000 gannets gather on the rock each year. It is always a spectacular and inspiring sight. The weather wasnt very good for our trip on the boat this year, the sea a bit choppy so the photos arent that brilliant. If you want to see more of The Bass Rock, check out this short YouTube link from BBC Scotland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2h9Xo51_O0Its been a few months since I uploaded any sheets or kits, life has kept getting in the way! However Ive started a set of new designs which hopefully Ill get out in the next few weeks, Thank you for your patience. As we are well into the summer months in the UK now, Im leaving you with a couple of summer/sea themed mini-kits.

Christmas in July by Helen Howell

In Australia we have a tradition of having Christmas in July, this is done because it is our winter season and December is our summer season. I think the reason being is that in December it is sometimes too hot to enjoy the traditional fare of Christmas, so the Christmas roast gets repeated in July. In our house we dont go the whole hog, I just put up the miniature Christmas Tree with decorations for the day, we do exchange presents, but not expensive ones. Roast pork and trifle was on the menu. My little granddaughter who is not quite 3 years old came dressed as an elf and she looked so cute. All in all it was a very happy day with my family.

Summer Fayres by Suzi Cooper

Despite the temperatures being in the low 30sC I am still doing regular sales. On Thursday we had the first coffee morning sale at a new venue. We didnt know what to expect as usually they take a couple of months to really get going but this morning was a pleasant surprise as I sold lots of cards. I did something different this time as with the temperatures cards in cello bags tend to sweat which ruins them, so this time I took them all without bags & had the envelopes ready to match up with the cards. It actually worked out better so for the remainder of the sales during the summer I will do the same thing.

House Finch Nest by Judith Henry

Every evening when I let the dog out there is a flutter of wings coming from my hanging fern basket on the porch. At first we thought it was a bat since there were bats hanging under the eaves of the house in the past. My husband continued to watch and finally decided he saw a tail. We got the basket down. It needed watering when we discovered a perfect nest with 4 tiny bird eggs. We believe it is a house finch nest. The mother is all one color. Kind of gray and has a sweet song. Ive looked online for photos and songs but she moves so fast we cannot see any markings. The eggs are about an inch long. Guess we will know more once they hatch.

parrots and flamingos.... by Anne Lever

I recently went on a shopping outing, fully expecting to buy myself a new set of clothes for this hot weather. I ended up finding nothing for me, so i decided to spend some money on brightening up my bathroom. i felt that it needed parrots, flamingos, birds of paradise, toucans and budgies, so i bought them on a shower curtain, with a matching bright colours bath mat. Perfect for the summer!
