Crystal Art by Suzi Cooper

Two weeks ago a new craft shop opened about 15 minutes away from where I live. Being in Spain, craft shops are very few & far between so of course, I had to pay a visit. They were doing a demo & try for crystal art, something I have never come across before but it turns out that its like painting by numbers but with crystals. After half an hour playing I just had to buy a kit to do at home. I chose one that makes an 8 x 8 card to start me off. I intended doing a small amount each day but got so engrossed that I finished the whole thing in 4 hours. Rather than using it for a card I am going to mount it into a box frame as a gift for one of my great granddaughters.Needless to say I will be going to get another kit to do for my other great granddaughter.

Sophies Cake by Carol Dunne

My granddaughter Sophie ( 8 years old ) had to make a cake for a competition at school. She wasnt allowed to have any help but she has made cakes before. This is her cake. Unfortunately she did not win so she says she will try again next year. The cakes were sold off after school to raise money. So not only did my daughter have to pay for all the ingredients but then she had to buy four pieces of their own cake so they could take it home. LOL

Two of my latest hexagon pop-out cards to show you for those who want to start their Christmas stash.

Fabulous Sunflower by Anne Lever

The town where I live does a lovely floral display throughout the year, with hanging baskets, flower beds and pots in the high street and surrounding area, but this gorgeous sunflower that stood proudly in the middle of a display made me smile. I have never seen sunflowers in the high street display before, and it works perfectly. Here are some sunflower themed designs to brighten up your summer x

THANK HEAVENS GOD TURNED DOWN THE THERMOSTAT by Wanda Lipski

People in the UK will know that we were sweltering last week with temperatures in the 40s during the day and not dropping below 30C at night. So hot that everyone hides away, windows, shutters and curtains closed while we just watch our brains liquify. If only the love handles would also just melt away !!! This week they promised us 2C cooler every day, so I snapped this in my car yesterday when I was forced to leave my cool(ish) sanctuary. We hit a gentle 35 by the time I had to drive home. For the English rose that I am, with a comfort zone that ends at 24C, its been hard, and with my workshop at the top of the house, Ive not been designing much. Too hot! However, a couple of my most recent designs if your sense of humour has not been burnt to a frazzle. ENJOY

Look .... by Carol Clarke

... Who we met in the woods!! If you go down to the woods today ... then maybe, like we did, you might bump into a big hairy scary Monster!! Last weekend we packed our picnic and headed into Sherwood Forest expecting to maybe bump into Robin Hood, Little John, Friar Tuck or Alan a Dale .... It wasnt a wild and windy night when we ventured into the deep dark wood but ... Oh help! Oh no! We found ... A Gruffalo! lol Below are 2 of my NEWEST designs. Watch out for more Coming Soon!! lol

Water Lovely Afternoon by Janice McFarlane

Well finally we are seeing some lovely weather after all of the continuous rain. Although admittedly I dont like it to be too hot. (Typically we moan when it rains or cold and moan when it is sunny and hot). Saturday was far too hot for me, had front door and patio doors open along with all the windows and two fans on and it didnt help one bit to stay cooler. Thankfully for Alfie and Harry my two grandsons it was a little better, they had a fantastic water table which was a birthday present for Harry, which enabled them to have a lot of fun squirting water at each other and keeping cool too. I think I could have done with that myself, but Oxford is a little too far to go for an afternoon!

New Garden Swing by Sue Way

We used to have a little blue garden swing that got lots of use. It wasnt fancy, but we liked it. It was a good spot to rest on after a walk on the beach with the dogs. Somewhere to have your afternoon cuppa or an ice lolly if it was really hot. But a few years ago, it broke. Now we have Billy we realised how much we missed having it. Well, the other day while hubby was in a local department store he saw one and, as it was the last one, it had been reduced by £20. Its a bit smaller, but it fits out little garden perfectly. The only trouble is that Billy thinks its wonderful and always wants to join us for a swing lol I have been busy adding my new series of Tranquil Flower Scene kits. I am adding new colours and flowers every day and will even be making some Christmas ones. So keep checking back x Sue x http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

4th of July travel by Judith Henry

We made a trip to Wisconsin to see Shakespeares Twelfth Night the American Players Theatre. This is a yearly trip we do to see one of the plays. It was a great performance. Love outdoors theatre except when it rains. The second night was washed out. On our way home we wandered around effigy mounds national monument and enjoyed the view of the Mississippi. Again we got rained on. So happy Fourth of July to my USA customers.
