Firefighter Barbie by Vicki Avcin

Ive had a lot of Barbie dolls since I was a kid and seems some still are got to have Barbies. My first Barbie was sent to me from the US before they even got to Australia in 1959 and I still have her. My mothers pen pal, a lady who my mother worked with here in the Second World War, was in the US Army and working in communications and they stayed in touch and she would send pictures of her little girl. I saw photos of Cheri and her Barbie Doll, so Muriel (mothers pen pal) sent one over for me along with some homemade clothes for the doll. So when someone in a Women in Firefighting group I am a member of, put up that theyd bought one from one of our stores, I went hunting. Found one locally and raced off to purchase that day. Her PPC is very similar to ours, and yes she is wearing boots, not high heels! I still like the old/early versions of Barbie over the new Barbies best but in all the time Barbie has been out this is the first firefighting one Ive seen here. She will stay in her box and join the collection of all my other firefighting collectables I have.

The first promoted item is a simple black and white wedding or wedding anniversary design and the other is also suitable for a wedding or anniversary or could be used for other occasions also.

Moving on Up by Janice McFarlane

My eldest granddaughter, Darcey, is coming to the end of her first year in high school in Leeds where she lives. They have graduation ceremonies, at the end of the year for their pupils, so everyone is garbed in Hats and gowns. Darceys award was for maintaining exceptional high marks and attendance throughout the school year. I cant begin to tell her how proud I am of her. She has been through so much for someone who is only 12 (looks more like 16 lol). She lost her dad (my son) when she was 3 years old, and has had to deal with her mum having some serious health problems, and nearly losing her baby sister when she was only a few weeks old. Yet through it all she has blossomed into this wonderful well rounded young lady.

Valencia Bio Park by Carol Dunne

I have just returned from a great holiday in Valencia, Spain. What a great place, loads to see and do. This is a photo of me in the Bio Park. It is a great place, it has been set out so well that it is like a walking safari. You get so close to the animals it is amazing. Here I am walking through the lemur enclosure and as you can see there is one right by my feet.

Here are two of my latest hexagon pop-out cards. Not available anywhere else.

All lined up by Tina Fitch

Well here they all are lined up ready to vacate the Eagles nest! Another day another dollar at RAF Lakenheath this week.. All lined up ready to launch, Just waiting on their final checks so they can taxi to the runway ready to go.I found this week they have started to low fly in the lake district instead of the Mach Loop due to weather not being very good down in Wales.. But to be honest I dont mind where they fly as long as I can catch the launches and landings at my favorite place..Not sure whats going to occur next week as they are shut for the holidays ;-(Anyway thats all from me this week.. Dont forget my SALE is now on! https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

Beautiful Noway by Judith Henry

The views from top of the mountains were spectacular. Nice cool weather helps with the walks around the towns. We saw a lot of Norwegian sweaters which sounded good. The best part was treating ourselves to some of the local food items. Breakfast was the best. Many of the churches were closed. Dont we know it is wedding season?

A Very Muddy Squirrel by Clare Walker

Thought you might enjoy this picture of a very muddy squirrel that we spotted in Highgate Woods this week. We were only able to photo him because he`d found a tasty snack on the ground. And he was a joy to watch, even if (as you can see from the photo) after all the rain (we have had so.much.rain here) there was waaay more mud around him than we`ve ever seen in June before.

New cross stitch... by Anne Lever

Having finished my last magic grotto cross stitch, I have now started a new one.She is called Paisley and I have almost finished the first page. I am loving it because there are so many gorgeous bright colours. but as you can see from the picture, its going to take a good few years to finish her. Can you see where the first page is in the main picture? Look in the very top left hand corner........My end of the month sale is now on, including all of my many bumper kits x

First Light Festival by Sue Way

We finally took our caravan away for a few days last week & were lucky enough to be in Lowestoft during their very first First Light Festival, celebrating the Summer Solstice. It was very busy & very well organised. Billy was as good as gold as we walked along taking it all in. We couldnt take him onto the beach where most things were happening, but it was nice to be part of the atmosphere. But I just had to run down and take a picture of The Pakefield Man who was set alight at 2.15am. My SALE is now on with 20% off of everything in my store. Empty those wish lists & grab a bargain! x Sue x http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Swing Chair by Suzi Cooper

For 2 or 3 years I have been wanting a swing seat for the garden but it has always been bottom of the list. Recently I saw one which was the same colour as our netted gazebos & it was on special offer.Did the order – online without looking at it in the shop. It arrived 4 days later in 2 very large boxes which weighed a ton. We started to assemble it but as there was only picture instructions it was a bit hit & miss but finally after 6 evenings we managed to complete it. Cant work during the day as with temperatures of over 30C it is just too hot.Anyway, it has turned out to be the coolest spot in our garden as with its back to the gazebo it is shaded from the sun but catches whatever breeze is blowing. The picture shows the chair with its canopy and also Minnie cat who really wants to sit next to Mum but is scared because the chair moves.
