Proud Mumma by Vicki Avcin

8 years ago on 27th May 2011, I watched my daughter march onto the parade ground to take her oath and be handed her badge and become a police officer. She worked hard to achieve a dream, and that day her dream became a reality. Talk about happy tears, I think I cried through the whole ceremony and my heart was bursting with pride. It was wonderful to be there with the family to see her graduate. In the 8 years she has seen so much, done so much and achieved so much. She has been awarded a Commissioner Achievement award for one incident on Boxing Day 2013 and is now out of uniform (in plain clothes) with the Child Protection Investigation Unit. One more exam to go and she will be a Detective. I am happy with that as she is not a General Duties (first responder) officer now as policing is extremely hard and they dont know what they will be facing/subjected to when being first on scene at a job. Her job now is stressful and demanding but shes not first on scene these days. She has worked hard and the pride and admiration I have for her carrying out her work grows every day. There is a friendly rivalry here between the police and fire services, each saying which is the better job but from my side (fire) Id prefer to stay a firefighter…...... I think shed prefer her police job. So no rivalry there!

This weeks promoted items are just two of my Butterfly Collection designs. All my items are on sale till the end of the month.

A Cute and Sleepy Fox... by Clare Walker

Our fox is back again. Hubby and I saw him several times last week, including curled up, fast asleep, in the middle of our neighbours garden. He looked so cute and peaceful that it was the perfect photo opportunity. Our foxy friend was there for about 40 minutes, (completely unfazed by the fact it was broad daylight and the middle of a Saturday afternoon). In fact, he only woke up when the rain came. At that point, he stretched mightily, shook himself dry of water...and then just seemed to melt away into the bushes. Will keep you posted if and when he returns...

Here are some new and summery watercolour Pincushion Flowers-thanks for looking!

Eagles Nest! by Tina Fitch

Another Jet photo I can hear you say! Well they take up most of my time nowdays hahaha. this one taken last week sees the Eagles lined up ready to be checked over and one just moving over to the runway to launch! They look so small is this photo but I can assure you they are quite large in life and making a roaring sound when they let their afterburners loose. This was the second spate of launches last Thursday and my god did they make some noise.. They are now getting ready for the D-Day celebrations so will see the Heritage jets next take to their flypast very soon

Billy Loves His Girls! by Sue Way

Billy absolutely loves children. So much so, that we have to lead him up if we see any on our walk. Its in the nature of a Golden Retriever to love children, but as his breeder has three girls and is used to our two granddaughters, he is crazy for them! When the girls come to visit he follows them around everywhere and loves it when they play with him. The other day I looked out the window and saw them all sitting together on the bench in the garden, so I quickly snapped this lovely picture. Here are some of my latest designs, thanks for looking x Sue x http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

At ... by Carol Clarke

... the Park ... again! Wow what a lovely sunny week weve had here in the Midlands and we took good advantage of the lovely weather to stop off again at the park! Not that it has to be good weather for Olivia and Austin to want to stop at the park! Its practically the first thing they ask us each week when we collect them from school. We are there in all weathers except rain ... but funnily enough we tend to be the only ones there when the sun isnt shining! lol Below are 2 of my On the Shelf Cards ... I have drawn, designed and uploaded nearly 4000 of them ... sooo ... theres lots more to choose from! lol

Daycare by Judy Potts

This week my Grandson started Daycare as my Daughter started her new adventure into College. Hes been walking all over the place for some time now and gets into everything. Luckily the daycare has updates in real time online and all my daughter has to do is check the website whenever she wants. Internet can be a great thing sometimes!

Birthday Boy by Janice McFarlane

My grandson Harry was two this last week, I cant believe how time flies. It doesnt seem five minutes since he was born. He is the most cheeky, mischievous gorgeous little boy with a mass of golden curly hair which I adore, and dont ever want him to lose. He certainly keeps his mum on her toes with his antics. The picture shows Harry to a tee, firstly his amazement of being two and very smart in his shirt, then out on one of his walks this week, I love this picture, the wind is blowing his hair to one side like the grass bending over in the breeze. Then he is getting ready to cut the grass with one of his birthday present of a lawn mower, and finally after a busy day, whilst out and about he falls asleep in an unusual position on his smart trike. He never fails to make us smile.

The First Rose by Anne Lever

We have one rose bush in the postage stamp of our garden. It is in a pot, and has been steadily getting bigger year on year since we got it about five years ago. The first two years we had no roses, the third year we had two, last year we had lots, and this year there are many rose buds and it looks like we are going to have a plethora of beautiful yellow roses. This lovely bud is the first to burst forth. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF MY SALE, 20% OFF EVERYTHING, INCLUDING MY MANY MANY BUMPER KITS!
