Pretty Coins by Vicki Avcin

My husband is a sort of coin collector and is always on the hunt for that elusive coin or monetary note that might be worth a fortune. Sadly hes still waiting to find them but it peaked my interest a little bit when here in Australia in 2012 the Royal Australian Mint released the first coloured $2 coin. Each year they have released one or two for special occasions and I decided to hang onto any I got in change at the shops. I especially like these two as they are for significant occasions and theyve been hard to find. I guess everyone else likes pretty coins too and hang onto them when they get them as they are hard to find. One with the poppy is to commemorate 100yrs of Armistice and the other is inspired by the Eternal Flame in the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.Do other countries do these coloured coins?

Neighbourhood Watch by Sue Way

Billy was so interested in a truck that pulled up outside the house the other day that he ended up climbing onto the window ledge! Luckily it is quite big, although I was a bit worried about my ornaments. The silly boy got himself stuck up there though and I had to help him back down. He makes us laugh every day. F16 Viper Fun! by Tina Fitch

Yes you guessed it another fun filled day at RAF Lakenheath on Wednesday 13/05/19! F16s from Homestead Air Reserve Base ... Located in Miami–Dade County, Florida And home to the 482nd Fighterwing. are currently on deployment to Lakenheath to train with the 48th Fighter Wing F15s.. We visited Wednesday and my what a day it was too.Full sunshine all day and was quite warm but the air power coming out of the base was immense! They were low they were fast and outright lethal in the sky.. They came out so low and fast that vapour poured from the wings and yet they were only 1500 feet from take off if that.. I have never seen such fun since RIAT last July.. My god they put on such a performance..In one shot I have the pilot waving on his flexing out of the base just after take off amazing to be acknowledged from the sky..But I have chosen this shot for this weeks post.. I just love it and it shows off how stunning they are in the sky with all that vapour pouring from the wings..Hope you like it as much as I do...Thanks for your continued support.

... Early bird gets the Worm! Or to be more accurate ... The Early walker gets the photo! lol On one of my walks this week I went through a local woodland. Its a lovely place to walk and I often see a number of different birds, squirrels and on a couple of occasions Ive see deer too. None of these have stayed still long enough for me to get my phone out and take photos though! lol But I did get this lovely early morning sunshine streaking though the trees ... It makes setting out ultra early for my walks sooo worthwhile! Below are 2 of my new shaped School boy and girl cards ... Watch out for more ... Coming Soon!

Fun at the Park by Janice McFarlane

My daughter and youngest grandson Harry making the most of the beautiful weather over the last few days,decided to have a day out at a local park with friends. Harry is quite a character, and enjoyed himself immensely. First was a ride on a mini train, to which my daughter said he sang numerous rounds of The Wheels on the Bus go Round and Round. Then there was Harry loving the bronze coloured pigs, and finally a bit of a splosh in the paddling pool, although by the look on Harrys face when he put his feet in, the water must have been cold. All in all a most enjoyable day out.

Latest exhibition by Carol Dunne

Last weekend my local art group had there Spring Exhibition. The weather was lovely and we had a really good turn out. I sold quite a few cards and hand made jewellery items. Some local people thought our homemade cakes were so good that they came back just for the cakes.At least we can do some things right.
