Bubble Blowing by Helen Howell

I had my toddler granddaughter staying with me over the weekend, she is always on the go. So I bought her a bubble blowing seahorse which can push out dozens of bubbles in one go. Well, of course she loved this and we had to sit out on the verandah for a very long time while she played and blowing bubbles. As the bubbles rose in the air and she watch them sail away, she would shout look theyre going! I loved blowing bubbles when I was a child and I think they still are very popular with todays children.

Here are two of my latest designs.

From Tesla to Ice Hockey!

by Janice McFarlane

Last Friday at my grandsons school they had a special Science Day. All the children were asked to come dressed up as a famous scientist. First thought was Einstein, but then my daughter thought that would be a popular one with the other children so in the end they thought Nikola Tesla who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. Tesla had quite a distinctive look with quite a heavy centre parting of his hair into what we would call curtains, and a very prominent moustache. I thought Alfie looked quite the part and his teacher knew exactly who he was when he went into school. Funny thing was when he was getting dressed and had a vest on he looked like Freddy Mercury lol. On the Sunday was an Ice Hockey match where he was playing away in Swindon. We were so pleased to hear he played so well he earned Spirit of the Match and a little trophy too.

To lovely 3D Card Kits a Pop Out Book Card and a Pop Up Arch Card.

Exclusive Invite by Tina Fitch

Well my hard work paid off! I was exclusively invited to see the new Heritage painted jet for D-Day ! And what a day it was.. It all started at 07.00am at the visitors centre on RAF Lakenheath, we were taken for breakfast then on to the flight line to see those mighty black panthers take off including the newly painted Heritage tail...My god were they loud nearly burst my eardrums hahah but what a privilege it was ..We watched 6 launch from the flight line then off up to the control tower to see them land.. It was a bit high I have to say I hate heights but seeing the view we had soon changed all that fear to excitement.. Just look at the shot I got! Full afterburners too.Once they had all landed we were off to the Charlie ramp to see the pilots that had amused us that lovely day.. Oh how fantastic it was to walk beside the mighty F15s.. I wont be forgetting that day in a hurry! Roll on next time I SAY

BREXIT WIFE by Wanda Lipski

We have one of these light boxes on which you can post your messages. Hubby uses it quite a lot and I sometimes come to bed (we keep rather different hours) to find a surprise message awaiting me. This one really had me laughing out loud. I do not have dual nationality despite having been here for 34 years, so Im not really worried ...With a defender like my Michel, who could be worried. Ive been uploading some soft gentle sheets this week. I hope you enjoy them.

Bluebells by Carol Clarke

We are lucky to live a short walk from a lovely old Oakwood that at this time of year is carpeted with beautiful sea of Bluebells. I walk through this lovely wood at least 3 or 4 times a week, but at this time of year I make sure to go there very much on a daily basis. Slowly the bluebells have been coming out bit by bit each day and now they are just about at their peak. They wont stay at their peak for very long though so I will make the most of my daily walks for now and look forward to them flowering again at this time next year! Below are 2 of my Cute Little Unicorn Gift Box Card Kit 3d Decoupage. A fun way to give a card and gift that is full of Unicorn Magic! lol

ANZAC Day 2019 by Vicki Avcin

25th April is a day of remembrance and something that I always make sure I attend one of the many services where ever I am. This year was no different getting up before dawn to attend and march in the service as a firefighter that is held in our local community. Usually its a gunfire breakfast afterwards but this year there was no breakfast as I had to get home and change uniforms and get into town to meet up with our Emergency Service Cadets. I am an Adult Leader with the Cadets and they always march in the main parade in town. The marchers assemble in the carpark at the RSL and march down to a beautiful park we have in town called Freedom Park where the is a solemn service to remember all those from Australia and New Zealand who have given their lives so that we have the lifestyle we have now. It is held each year on 25th April, the day the troops landed at Gallipoli in 1915. We also celebrate the lives and contribution of all our men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their countries in all wars to date. It would be lovely to be able to say that conflicts like Afghanistan will be the last.It is always an honour to lay the wreath at our local Dawn service for the fire service and this year I also made the wreath for the Cadets to lay at the march service.

Dawn by Gillian Hutchinson

Now we are back out even earlier to walk the dogs we have been greeted with some stunning sunrises across the fields. No matter where we walk we are surrounded by a lovely view, its a great way to start the day. Wellies are still required though with all the dew and the dogs still seem to find the muddiest ditch around!

Tree peony by Carol Dunne

For the last 15 years I have been nurturing my tree peonie and usually I get about 5 flowers, the most I have ever had in the past is six. This year I have fifteen spectacular flowers all as big as dinner plates when they open fully. The problem is they become so heavy if it rains that some of them snap off and I have to bring them inside and put them in a vase. Now my peony tree is too big for its present home so I will have to move it somewhere else when it has finished flowering.
