A Misty .... by Carol Clarke

... Morning Walk!! As I set off on my morning walk one day this week it was rather misty but when I was about one and a half miles from home and walking uphill over the fields the sun was trying to break through the mist and made for the most magical scene! I always enjoy my walks and Im constantly surprised and thankful that I get to walk in the most amazing countryside every day! Below are 2 of my NEWEST Designs ... Watch out for more coming soon!

Valentine Day Flowers by Helen Howell

My husband and I will have been married this September for 46 years - how time flies and even so Valentine day does not go unnoticed. I make him one of my special cards which he always loves and he usually buys me a bunch of flowers. This year however he went one step further and purchased me a beautiful arrangement. I loved the colours and the fact that the flowers (Gerberas) where sprinkled with sparkly glitter which twinkled when the light hit them. Its nice to think that after all these years we both still make an effort on this romantic day. Happy Valentines to everyone out there!

Oma (gosh)! by Vicki Avcin

Well last week I spoke about the flooding in NQ and how Mother Nature is playing games here in Australia. Well on the same day a couple of weeks ago while the North Queensland (NQ) floods were devastating the region, we had snow in Tasmania, massive fires in New South Wales (NSW), drought in Central Queenslands west and massive dust storms in Sydney NSW. NQ had 2 metres of rain, before it passed the area and went out to the east into the Coral Sea. The same monsoon went to the east as far as Fiji where it formed into a cyclone that was named TC Oma. Oma then decided to move back to the east and gave New Caledonia a really hard time. It was believed that once it moved past New Caledonia it would turn south and travel off toward New Zealand (an area that is known as the grave yard for cyclones just north of actually hitting NZ as the cooler waters couldnt sustain the weather system). Well a week and a half later Oma is still playing games. It didnt move south instead took a south westerly direction and is now keeping the Bureau of Meteorology working overtime to try and figure out just what its going to do! As I write this, we are under a severe weather alert for winds and wild seas (along with a king tide) along the coast around Fraser Island. There has been much speculation if it will cross the coast and if it is where it will cross. Then again maybe it will hook back up the north and travel along the coast. Cyclones need warm waters to keep them going and it is not uncommon for them to come this far south, but usually they tend to stay and cross the coast further north in the warm water. We do however feel the effects (being on the southern side) of any further north. So for now, we start making preparations just in case it does cross around here although we will get the rain and wind even if it doesnt cross the coast. As I write this we have just got our first Tropical Cyclone Alert!

My promotion this week is two of my DL Mini Kits featuring two gorgeous designs for a Birthday.

On the Fiddle by Janice McFarlane

This last week Ive been back at my daughters at RAF Benson for the week. Its the last couple of weeks before her husband comes home from Afghanistan, and it is also half term. Ive also been able to do a little bit of designing as I brought my PC with me. Dedication or what lol! We spent the afternoon in Oxford looking round the shops and then off to watch my grandson Alfie ice hockey training. whilst we were out and about we came across this chap on a tight rope playing the fiddle whilst balancing on one foot. The music was lovely Irish lilts. The children were fascinated. I dont know how he managed to stay up there for so long. He played quite a few songs. Its something you dont see every day, but really enjoyable.

Two new pop out book kits this week, with others in my store too. Very easy to make. Thank you for looking.

Twins! by Sue Way

I am lucky enough to stay in touch with Billys breeder. She owns his mum, dad and a girl from her previous litter. We keep in touch via social media and I have also hooked up with another of his big sisters and 3 of his siblings. Two brothers and the little white girl that I nearly bought with Billy. One of his brothers is white like their mum, but the other one is the same darker shade as Billy. Everyone says they look like their dad who is very dark, so it will be interesting to see if they go that dark as their coat changes. But the most exciting thing is how alike Billy and Cooper are! They seem to have the same personality too. Our breeder is doing a meet up for us all in the Summer. It will be so much fun for the siblings to all meet-up. They will be so excited. Here is a picture of the brothers side by side. Billy is on the left. This week I have added a new set to my ever popular Fashion Reflection series. The Sunrise by Gillian Hutchinson

Thankfully now that the mornings are starting to get lighter much earlier we have been seeing some beautiful sunrises while out with the dogs. The weather really is starting to get much milder and it has been lovely to see the snowdrops everywhere. We have even managed to get to the beach this week which the dogs loved as usual.

Cave of Vlihada by Judith Henry

While on vacation we visited the cave of Vlihada in Greece. There were many opportunities to visit caves. I asked and my husband took one day off of historical ruins an towns to do my geological adventure. We were not disappointed. First we took a short trip in a boatthrough maze-like waterways, domed ceilings. We saw lots of interesting formations. The visit to the cave lasts at least 40 minutes. Part of it was on foot also. It certainly didnt seem that long. The end of the tour was a walk along the short to get back to the entrance.

Unfortunately the external device that I store all my digital media on crashed last night, and I am unable to access any files. Should have been backed up but sadly wasn't!
Sarah at CUP has been able to reactive ALL my purchases going back as far as 2011! Without charge! What amazing customer service.

Thank you so much Sarah and the CUP team.
