Ducklings by Vicki Avcin

9 little ducks went out one day, over the fence and not too far away. Our resident wood ducks had been missing for a little while and we eventually discovered why. The neighbours dam had become the home of the mummaand dadda duck and they had decided to have babies. They have had ducklings on our dam a few years ago but we suspect a fox may have been responsible for their demise. This time the neighbours dam became home while they grew until they wereold enough to venture further afield. Was a wonderful sight to see all nine of thempecking round in the back yard. Now they are here most of the day and are becomingused to us without taking flight. At first the parents would round them up but last few days the parents seem to have left them to their own coming and going. I love living in a rural area, and its wonderful to see the birds and animals with their babies.

Billys 8 Month Comparison Picture! by Sue Way

I nearly didnt do a comparison picture this month as Billy has got so much bigger over the last month. Then hubby said let us just sit him beside you to do it that way, but me being me, said let me just try. So here is it. My smile is getting more like a grimace each month, but I did it! Fun ... by Carol Clarke

... at the Park!! As happens every week when it doesnt rain we had to stop at the play park on the way home after collecting Olivia and Austin from school. Oddly as its January and non too warm we were the only ones there! lol However we still had a great time. Especially when we found an old scooter that someone had abandoned. It wasnt in the best of states, all bent and wouldnt steer properly but Olivia and Austin had a great time on it. Oddly enough they have a couple of scooters at home .... nice bright new ones .... but for some reason they seemed to prefer this one! lol We left it there for someone else to enjoy though as I dont think Mummy & Daddy would have been too pleased if theyd taken it home with them!! Natural History by Janice McFarlane

My husband and I spent three weeks away over Christmas and New Year with our daughter and family. It was lovely to pend time with them. On one of the occasions we had a trip out into the city of Oxford to visit the Natural History Museum/ It is my eldest grandsons (Alfie) most favourite place to go, but we had never been. Alfie was excited to show us around and indeed it was very interesting. Some of the exhibits like bears and foxes etc., you could actually touch and was incredible to see these formidable creatures up close. Of course the main attractions were the dinosaurs, especially the T-Rex. My youngest grandson Harry took it all in his stride. A lovely day out with family.

The Boss! by Tina Fitch

Well here we go again I can hear you say LOL! Yes my first visit to RAF Lakenheath of the year and what a catch this was.. The 48th Fighter Wing boss.. We arrived around 10 am to 10 F15 landings then about an hour later 23 launched.. Plenty of noise I just love it.It was very cold though standing out watching and waiting for them to return so we waited till 2pm by that time they had all returned so we decided to head back home..But just as we were leaving they started more jets to launch but I just couldnt wait I was freezing..I think I shall wait till springtime to visit again or at least till it gets a bit warmer, And I am off to Red Flag Nevada in March which I just cant wait for..Oh well till next week then...
