Beautiful Birthday Cake! by Sue Way

It was my sons 40th birthday yesterday (how did that happen?) and his girlfriend bought him this beautiful low carb black forest cake made with almond flour and natural sweeteners. As my hubby is diabetic and my son is pre-diabetic, it was lovely that they could also eat cake. It was delicious and a little bit healthy ;) It came from a bakery called Pearl & Groove who are a gluten free, flourless bakery. Everyone loves my Round Easel Card Mini Kits, so I have added a few new ones for Christmas. Here is a new one and an old favourite. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

The Fab Four & The Terracotta Warriors

by Janyce Cotterill

Here are two final photos from my recent trip to Liverpool - and a trip to Liverpool of course is not complete without paying homage to The Fab Four. This super Beatles statue is on the Pier Head and many woman of a certain age were getting their photo taken with them! Luckily the week we were visiting the city the, Let It Be stage show was on at the famous Liverpool Empire. A brilliant tribute show jam-packed with over 40 Beatles Hits. The show is touring the UK until the end of the month and well worth a getting a ticket for. The other thing we got a ticket for, and one of the main reasons for the trip to Liverpool, was to see, Chinas First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors Exhibition. It was amazing, and I felt quite privileged to view these historical figures, items and artefacts. Next time, Ill maybe take you on a trip to Cornwall........ Im leaving you my Christmas Inserts Collections, both on special offer at the moment. Thank you for your interest.

Dark Mornings by Gillian Hutchinson

Normally we are up and out walking the dogs 1st thing in the morning. Now that winter is coming the dark mornings are here again its torches back out of the cupboard so we can still do our walks just now and we do get some gorgeous sunrises. Although since the clocks will be changing soon, I think we will have to change our times, its fine just now leaving while still dark and coming home after the suns up but dont fancy the full walk in pitch black.

Our Anniversary by Vicki Avcin

15 years ago I said I do to the love of my life. A man who loves me unconditionally, a man who supports me in everything I do and a man who I never thought Id find. Peter came into my life 21 years ago when I was just getting settled as a single mum of 3 and when I never contemplated being in another relationship. In return I love him unconditionally and support him in everything and he too had no plans to be in another relationship. Pete had 2 boys and it was through his 2 boys being friends with my 2 boys that we met. Living on acreage the kids would drive an old bush basher around the paddock when one of them drove into the fence one day. I was wondering how I would fix the fence when his boys said Dad will fix it. He works at a wire place so he can get the wire and fix it. Sure enough their Dad turned up and fixed the fence. We sat and had a coffee afterwards and while discussing things, found out that our paths had probably crossed many times but due to such diverse previous lifestyles, we just simply hadnt met. Both of us had walls up greater than the Great Wall of China and so the friendship was very guarded on both our parts. Gradually those walls started to break down a little until one night (14th February – Valentines Day) when there was a few kids at my place celebrating the birthday of one of them, the first moves were made and we both realised that there was the possibility of the friendship going further. I called Pete my Mills and Boon man……. You know…..the ones in the books that are always too good to be true. His support, friendship and love were something Id always wanted but never thought Id find. Our wedding which was held at home, was perfect, celebrated with family, friends and a fire brigade. Our reception has been said (and still is to this day) the best wedding people have been to. So 15 years down the track, we have lived up to the words for better for worse we have 10 beautiful grandkids, and we look forward to seeing what the next 15 years brings us.

Two more Christmas designs of mine, one a not so traditional design and a fantastic Aussie Christmas tree with gum leaves making the tree.

Week end trip in the black hills

by Judith Henry

This week end we ventured out to the black hills to celebrate my aunts birthday. It was a surprise party with 20 of her close family. We had a wonderful time especially trying to figure out how to keep a secret and get her to the hotel. While we were in the area we took a trip through custer national park to see the monuments. The needles drive was spectacular with all the beautiful colored leaves.

At ... by Carol Clarke

the Park!! Once again after collecting Olivia and Austin from school we stopped off at the park on the way home. It was lovely and sunny again I do dread it raining though as theyll still want to stop!! Along the side of this park theres a mini assault course type of area and they both love it. Its amazing how much they can do of it on their own now and this was the first time 3 year old Austin had managed to do the ropes by himself .... You can see on his face just how delighted he was!! Below are 2 of my newest designs ... Watch out for more ... COMING SOON!!

SHES SUCH A GOOD SPORT

by Wanda Lipski

Ladies and Gentlemen, May I present ... A REALLY GOOD SPORT ... other known as my 80 year old Mum here seen during our recent visit to Southwold pier where she gamely had a go to see how she would get along crossing a VERY busy road with a ZIMMER FRAME. Needless to say she was splattered all over the road way and her two adorable daughters had a good laugh but I would like to say her and now, SHES A DIAMOND and game for a laugh. Since I came back from the trip Ive been busy thinking of my Christmas list and have come up with some new calendars, these ones with a note pad and pen so ideal for placing next to the telephone. A Christmas or New Year gift that will show friends and neighbours that you appreciate them all year round. Have a good week and enjoy!

Thats E-nerf by Janice McFarlane

My grandson Alfie had been invited to a birthday party. Nothing out of the ordinary with that, except this one had a particular theme and a particular piece of equipment was need...a nerf gun. I hadnt really a clue what they were or what they fired, and although I am led to believe they are harmless, I wasnt quite sure as to the safety element of a group of excitable children all firing small missiles at each other. Thankfully, goggles were provided by the host Phew! Alfie did enjoy himself and it was a little different to the norm.

She has be asking for a little sister, but was surprisingly happy with a brother. This was her first time meeting and holding the little guy. I am sure there will be lots more happy times ahead!
