Maria Clarke Got Married! by Maria Clarke

When two designers meet, fall in love and marry, you just know that they are going to live in a house full of creative energies and thats exactly what we do! We live in a beautiful spot by the sea in Wales, which inspires our creativeness. Both of us had previously lived lives of anguish, hurt, loss and stress. Unknown to each other at the time, we decided that life is too short to spend it doing things that you dont want to do.I saw one of his artwork designs and bought it. He saw one of my cards and liked it. He messaged me and I messaged him back. We were amazed to find that we only lived six miles apart. Last year, on a cold February night, we met for a drink and we didnt stop talking about new ideas for living a creative life and making beautiful designs. He was also a poet and he read me a poem in the moonlight outside the pub and I just knew that I wanted to see him again. The following day, he gave me a call and asked me if I would like to go to see a live band. The band was great but we spent the evening exchanging ideas about art and poetry, story lines and designs for cards. Time passed by and we saw one another regularly until one warm summer night last June, we walked along the beach and he finally kissed me. He read me poetry as the warm summer evening breeze teased at our hair. We began our romance. Weekends would find us both out with our camera taking pictures of the local area. Nicholas Leslies work is inspired by nature. He photographs flowers and trees and turns them into artwork to be used by designers like me. My work is inspired by people and relationships and Oh Boy! was this a great relationship. He taught me all about online design programmes and I taught him about unicorns and soft fluffy kittens. We had become inseparable. So, we got married. . . . and guess what we did on our honeymoon? We opened an account with Craftsuprint! Perfect!

Just an example of what we do together. Nicholas Leslie produces the backgrounds and I design the cards. These decoupage cards are ideal for any card maker. They suit beginners and experienced card makers.

All Grown Up by Janice McFarlane

Well everyone is back at school, some just starting in infants others starting High School. Mr eldest granddaughter Darcey is no exception. Her first day at High School, and seeing this picture of her made me quite emotional, where has the time gone? It doesnt seem like five minutes since she was a baby, and now she is a beautiful young lady, embarking on her pathway to be whatever she wants to be. I am so proud of her and my late son, Darceys dad would have been proud of her too. I wish her every success on her new adventure.

Two of my latest kits both have Hanging Hearts/Oval Plaques Kits to match too. Thank you as always for looking.

Best/Worst Summer Ever! by Amy Perry

So i havent posted a bit of news about myself for a while so thought i would this week, i havent been around much this summer due to two holidays to spain! First time ive been abroad since i was about 12 so was amazing to do it all over again and this time bring my children so they can make some memories too!Sadly it came with a downside, i was only supposed to go on holiday once ........ however my nan fell and fractured her shoulder really badly 3 days before her my auntie and uncle were supposed to fly out to benidorm so she offered us her tickets, Amazing is a understatment but as you can guess was tinged with sadness about my nan, we managed to go on holiday all 9 of us a few weeks later and it made up for it! So here is the 9 of us enjoying sunny spain! xx

Charlie is 2 years old by Dianne Jackson

My cat Charlie was 2 last week. He is a big cat that weighs 9 pound. He is very territorial which makes it impossible for us to have another cat. I am always tempted when I visit the Kitty cafe in Leeds. Charlie likes to wait for the postman to come and as soon as he hears the letterbox go he quickly darts to see what has dropped through and we cannot pick it up until he has pawed and kneeded it all, and when he has finished he sometimes likes to just sit on it for a while. He is so funny. If I let him loose with a newspaper he will delight in pawing it and tearing it to shreds. I am showing a beautiful butterfly design from Anne Lever this time, and also a poppy design from Deloris. I am always attracted to poppy designs as they always look so stunning and stand out from all other florals

Riverfest 2018 by Vicki Avcin

Last Saturday it was Riverfest time again. Each year the River Heads Progress Association hold a festival celebrating our waterways, ecology and people. There are markets, displays, art exhibition, activites for the kids and Saturday night there is a Dinner Dance. This years Dance was a Buccaneer theme. River Heads is a peninsula and is the gateway to Fraser Island. Very much a reason to celebrate the wonderful area as nearly every block has gorgeous views of either the Sandy Strait and Fraser Island to the east or beautiful views out over the Mary and Susan rivers and where they join to flow into the Sandy Stait to the west. My brigade also has a truck on display, where members (and potential members) can come and enquire about anything fire related. We focus heavily when talking with people the importance of PAS (Prepare, Act, Survive) and how to prepare their properties for the fireseason, where to listen for advice in the event of a wildfire, and what the advice levels mean. Of course we are a favourite with the kids who love having their photo taken sitting in the fire truck and getting a Hoses and Ladders game and some stickers. We also get enquiries about joining up and putting something back into the community. We even had a photo in the local paper with some triplets sitting in the truck. It is always a fun day and plenty to do, see and eat!

This weeks promoted cards are two more of my recently uploaded DL cards. Plenty of designs to choose from and for all sorts of occasions.

The Great Train Escape by Mary Jane Harris

This antique train car made an escape one afternoon. It was sitting on an unused set of tracks across the road, when it, and another car broke loose and crossed the road to the tracks on the other side. This car tipped over on its side, but there was no significant damage done to it. The tracks used to run across the road, but that was years and years ago. However, there are just enough of the old tracks visible on the road so that the train cars were able to cross to the other side. There is an entire set of antique train cars on the other side of the road. It is an amazing site to see them through the trees as you drive by. Some of the old cars have been placed in museums to preserve that bit of history.

Picture Day by Diane Hannah

Another school year is now in session. These are my twin grandchildren, Dawson and Riley. Picture day is certainly early in the school year now. I cant believe they are now sophomores in high school. Before you know it they will be graduating! Then it will be off to college.Time sure does pass quickly! Seems like just yesterday, they were just babies.

Billy is 4 Months Old! by Sue Way

Wow, how the time is flying. This week Billy turned 4 months old! He is growing so fast and getting so tall! He has started to get his adult coat in places and is losing his baby fluff :( He has also started teething with a vengeance, so has destroyed a lot of his teddies. Luckily he has loads lol He is a lovely boy (most of the time) and learning fast. He has lots of energy and needs lots of exercises to wear him out, He is a real little character, who makes us laugh all the time. I forgot how quickly Goldens grow and change every day. I hope you enjoy seeing his adventures as he grows up. This week I have added a few Christmas designs. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387
