Thank you so much everyone at cUp headquarters, I was reading the newsletter you sent dated 11 August and was pleasantly surprised to see not only 4 of my cards but my Shop name as well Jayes Crafted Cards so thrilling to see my cards together like that. Thank you all for all your hard work and efforts to make the website safe for us to use, also for continuing to change things up for us all. Also I must thank all the designers too many to mention for their stellar work creating such beautiful designs to enable us to make and produce lovely cards and projects.

Growing like a weed! by Sue Way

Billy is 15 weeks now & growing like a weed! I had forgotten how quickly Golden retrievers grow. We are sure he grows a little bigger every time he has a nap. He loves the beach, especially the soft sand which he loves to dig. He has gone from being afraid of water, to following bigger dogs in, to running in for a paddle on his own. He still has to learn some manners around other dogs as he just wants to jump on their heads lol But he has had some good games with bigger dogs. He is a brave little man nothing seems to faze him. If he sees something new, he sits and studies it. Although having a puppy is hard work I love watching him grow and learn. Here are a couple of my latest mini kits. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Treasurers House York by Carol Dunne

On a recent trip to York (England) we went inside the Treasurers House which is owned now by The National Trust. Very interesting it was too. The cellar here has a remarkable ghost story. A number of years ago the house was undergoing some repairs, a workman was down in the cellar and to his astonishment a troop of Roman soldiers marched through the walls, horses included. When this was looked into the historians realised that in Roman times the road would have been at the level that the Roman soldiers had been seen. He is not the only one to have seen them either.

Thank you for looking at my two latest designs

Special Olympics County Games

by Diane Hannah

Pictured in the green shirts are the Special Olympics golf athletes, with the exception of the man on the right...he is a coach. In the center in the blue, is one of the athletes unified partners. A unified partner golfs every other hole and assists their partner with club selections and pointers on the rules of the game. Our county did well, as all of our participants placed either first or second. The athletes get ribbons for county games. Go Putnam! In September its off to state games for the GOLD!

3rd birthday party by Joan King

My gorgeous wee grand daughter has just turned 3 and had her first real birthday party with lots of her friends. It was rather a hectic and noisy party but the children were having so much fun. My grand daughter is the one in the peach lace dress. The first photo is of the cake my daughter in law made from the movie Moana which of course is a kiwi connection. Then there is a photo of Brooklyn blowing out her candles. It was so sweet when everyone sang happy birthday to her and she just rocked from side to side as this is the first time she really knew what was happening. She loved it and of course loved being the centre of attention!!! Lots of them went outside as although winter it was a perfect sunny day around 18 degrees and jumped around on the trampoline with a mass of balloons. Yes a few popped but that made it more fun it seems. The final picture amused me. It was game time and they did the usual pass the parcel etc but instead of pinning the tale on the donkey they had place the horn on the unicorn!!! Never heard of that one before. They had to wear a blindfold just the same and Brooklyn seemed to get it just about right. I reckon there was a bit of cheating there but it was all good fun. I think I enjoyed myself as much as the children.

I am showcasing one of my latest designs, the Kingfisher and another design of a labrador pup which I have just put on special. Happy Crafting.

Where in the world is Judith by Judith Henry

We are traveling to a natural geological world. Im learning about volcanoes, tectonic plates, glaciers, waterfalls and rock formations. Eating fish, more fish and fish. Not getting any design ideas for cards but seeing and learning a lot. Enjoying cooler weather. Traveling with friend from a previous tour. Finding puffins, sheep and small horses. Can you guess? Iceland.

CROSSED OFF THE TO DO LIST

ST BERNADETTE by Wanda Lipski

My post-stroke list included seeing the glass coffin that contains the unputrefied remains of Bernadette Soubirou, who ended her short life in a convent in Nevers. Whether you are a believer or not, the phenomenon of a body exhumed 3 times and showing no signs of decay makes her a wonder to behold. Admittedly, since during the second exhumation when they took relics her face and hands began to blacken in contact with the air, the coated her face and hands in a thin layer of wax so as to make her more presentable to the public. She definitely looks as though shes resting in peace.

Spoilt or What? by Vicki Avcin

Our 21 year old Miss Kitty just loves cuddles especially on the cold mornings this winter. She has never really wanted cuddles, I guess now she is the only kitty we have(we used to have 7 but sadly all but her have crossed the rainbow bridge), she figures that all the attention should be on her and shes making the most of being the only one. She took to snuggling up under my dressing gown or hubbys flannelette shirt and now she demands to be cuddled and will stay snuggled in for as long as we will let her. Then the other day I saw an ad for a sweater, purpose made with a pouch for kitties. Hubby and I had a bit of a giggle saying that we couldve had a good market for kitty sweaters/shirts/dressing gowns as weve overcome the problem of having our Miss Kitty wanting to be carted around everywhere. Hubby just does his buttons up and tucks the shirt into his pants, I just do the belt up on my dressing gown and our old girl just flops in and goes to sleep. While shes contently sleeping the motor (purr) is going too. She gets quite upset when I have to get dressed or hubby has to do something and shes removed from her little haven. Now that spring is approaching, then summer, not sure how shes going to like not being cuddled so snugly as all indications are that we are in for a long hot summer. Days are already reaching high 20s during the day and it will be a bit hot and sweaty, especially with her long coat. She is a Persian with a bit of Maine Coon thrown in.
