Decisions Decisions by Vicki Avcin

Well Monday morning I head off to Brisbane (Brisvegas) so I am writing my news up before I head off as I wont be able to submit it till after I get back. Im going to stay with my daughter for the week where well spend some quality time just talking but I always have a wishlist of things I want to do. They are pretty standard as its things I cant do here. One is go to Sushi Train, and although we have similar here the choice and taste isnt what it is like at the place we go have have lunch. Then there is the airport trip. Brisbane Airport has an area for plane viewing where you can see pretty much all the airport and you can get fantastic sights of the big birds landing and taking off. Last time we went at night time and although we saw the big 380As taking off we were further away down near the fire station, as the viewing area is only accessible during daylight hours. So this time I want to head down there during the day. Then my all time favourite is going to Max Brenners. This is a chocolate shop where everything is chocolate. Soufflés, pizza, waffles, fondue, drinks, all with lashings of cream, ice cream with strawberries and/or banana and of course lots of chocolate. So the really big decision I have to make is what to eat. Going to be so hard to just stop at one. Maybe it will be a couple of trips to dine in! Max Brenners (Chocolate by the bald man) is Australia wide and also internationally in the USA, Israel, Russia and Japan. I really urge anyone who is a chocolate lover to visit a store if you are ever somewhere that has a shop. You can dine in or purchase chocolates by the pound to take with you. So the really big decision I have to make is what to eat. I will let you know what I chose in the next newsletter.

Because I am talking about food, my items this week are a gorgeous strawberries and cream birthday cake design and one of the many party bags designs for the lollies (or cake).

Afterburners by Tina Fitch

Well I caught this lovely this week on my visit to Lakenheath AFB Suffolk, They just rip through the skies with no effort at all. As you can see by this shot the afterburners are still alight whilst cruising past me as an incredible speed..its my dream to actually fly back seat in one of these babies but I doubt that will ever happen due to my not being medically fit to do so in their eyes.. And not sure I would fit in them small seats either hahaahah, Id probably get in but they would have to prise me out..Anyway thats all from me this week.. Did my news early due to me off to LA on Wednesday for a couple of days..So see you nest week for the catch up..All files in all formats https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

Seton Collegiate Church by Janyce Cotterill

This little gem of a building, set in tranquil surroundings, is looked after by Historic Scotland and can be found in East Lothian. It is one of the finest surviving medieval collegiate churches in Scotland. The origins of the church go way back to 1242. Naturally with a church this old there is a lot of history, all too much to write about here. But if you are looking for somewhere to be married check out this charming, beautiful, peaceful, atmospheric building. You wont be disappointed. If you arent contemplating getting wed, then this is still is one endearing, place to visit ! As this mailer piece is about a church, Im leaving you with two of my sheets on a similar theme. Thank you for your interest.

4th of July Celebration by Janice Shehan

Our church has many different types of ministries. One of the is specifically for those over 50. This is a photo of some of the people attending this years celebration. We had a terrific time, these people are so nice and easy to work with, it took almost no time at all to set-up and tear down for this great potluck luncheon. About 30 of the churchs members attended and everyone left stuffed with wonderful food and happy because of the fellowship.

I not only love the challenge of new shapes and sizes, but am always searching for something new to present to the CUP buyers.

Denver APA conference by Judith Henry

This past week end my husband and I visited with other letter press printers from around the world. It was fun catching up with all our friends. The most important part was hearing the stories on others creating beautiful products and saving a dying art form, the letter press. My husband started printing while still in high school. He has his own hobby print shop with over 3 presses and equipment.

Ready...Steady...Go Alfie! by Janice McFarlane

Its not gone unnoticed the tropical heatwave we have been enjoying, although it was a bit of a worry at Alfies Sports Day, but thankfully it wasnt unbearable. Each class started their section with an opening ceremony, as they have been doing different eras Alfies class did the 1930s and chose the Wizard of Oz music, so they marched up and doe, skipped, did a few little dance moves. Then is was ready for action. Alfie did well and came second in his obstacle race.

Heres here! by Sue Way

So last Thursday the day was finally here and we went to pick up our new Golden Retriever puppy. Billy Bazinga! is home!!! He is a clever little boy, so hopefully, we can teach him some good manners, which he doesnt have yet lol He is a barker and a chewer which is a bit of a shock as Alfie was a very quiet little man who never chewed. It is certainly hard work having a puppy, but I know the rewards will be worth it in the long run. As soon as he is allowed out we will wear him out with walks on the beach and take him to puppy training. He always gets the zoomies in the evening and wears us out, so it will great when we can take him out to use up that energy. He is growing like a weed and has already put on 3lb in the week we have had him. He has already learnt that if I am at my desk working that I will be there for a while, so he snuggles up on the banket I have laid next to me. This means that I have been able to add some lovely new designs for you this week, including a couple of beautiful wedding mini kits and a few cards for boys. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Hadrians Wall by Carol Dunne

I must say we are having the best summer I can ever remember here in the UK. Taking advantage of that, me and my husband went travelling for a few days. We had never been to Hadrians Wall before ( for those outside the UK - the Roman Emperor Hadrian built a wall across our country to separate England and Scotland. This was about 2000 years ago). I knew the Romans had built gates for people to pass through the wall if they were trading and in my imagination they were just archways in the stone wall for people to pass with a centurion on guard . What a surprise to see whats left of the encampment, remnants of barracks and villas that would hold maybe 600 soldiers. I was very impressed yo say the least.
