Let the Sea Set You Free by Janyce Cotterill

We had a little break last week to our favourite spot in Scotland. Our accommodation overlooked the sea and harbour. As the weather was glorious all week, there was plenty of activity out on the water at the end of the day. It was exhilarating to watch these experience sailers skimming their yachts over the water. The sea was certainly setting them free. Im leaving you with two of my designs which all fit in with the theme of the mailer. I hope you like them. They are both on special offer too. Thank you for your interest.

Wherever I Lay my Cat...!! by Janice McFarlane

Ive written about my lovely Ragdoll Cat Bailey before, and thought I would share some of the funny places he decides to have a nap. Now I know cats love boxes and will try and get into even the smallest box. On this occasion bailey decided his empty cat food box would be ideal for a snooze. Then there are the occasions when he literally thinks my napkin holder on top of the microwave is also and ideal place for a cat nap(kin), even though it is way too small for him. The most awkward and uncomfortable place at the moment is to jump on the back of the computer chair while either my husband or myself is sitting on it, then stretch out to go to sleep. Finally his best place of all is tucked up in bed. He makes me laugh every day, but I love him even more.

Hi everyone, these are two of my latest kits, both with a Christmas Themes and both have matching baubles decorations which are available separately. Thank you for looking.

Happy Birthday to me! by Sue Way

Last Saturday was my birthday. I had a lovely couple of days, starting off with a visit to our breeder to play our puppy with Billy and his siblings. Then, as the breeder lives near my family, we met up with some of them for lunch, including my mum, brother and sister-in-law. As hubby and I were walking into the restaurant a familiar face caught my eye, I did a double take and realized it was my son, who had come to surprise me for my birthday! As I havent seen him since Christmas I got a bit teary, it was such a lovely surprise! The next day my daughter, hubby and our granddaughters came for dinner. It was a sunny day so we sat in the garden, then took the girls down to the beach to burn off some energy. I had a really lovely birthday. Here is a picture of me with my son, who you may recognise as actor Tony Way. This week I have added a new set of Cute Little Ladies to my store. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Nearly a Teenager by Vicki Avcin

Zac, my grandson, had his 12th Birthday on Thursday so next birthday he will be a teenager. I find it hard to know what to get the grandkids as each year they are into something different. We asked his father what he wanted/needed this year and what his interests were and was told he needed pyjamas and he liked Pokemon cards and Yugi oh cards. Well Pokemon wed heard of but Yugi oh wed never heard of! Upon searching for these cards, apparently they were huge in the 80s and are now making a revival. So off we went to the shops looking for PJs and these cards. We brought him the PJs and found the packs of cards and that and a stashed a bit of surprise cash hidden in the present was what he got. So to do a card was the next challenge. I always make cards for the grandkids in line with their interests so of course it had to be a Yugi oh card. That then lent itself to more research into seeing what all these cards were like and personalising just for Zac. I used one of my dragons, put it on a background, then recreated the design. Instead of the name of a creature I put the Happy Birthday, 12 gems (for him being 12) and in the description box I put an inspirational quote. The symbol was Fire as Nanny and Poppy are firefighters. By the look on his face he loved hi Yugi oh card and was happy to receive the Yugi oh playing cards. Guess next year will be another challenge as he becomes a teen and will have new interests!

This week Im promoting a couple of my Scallop Top designs featuring a beautiful German Shepard and an extremely cute kitten.

Half Term Fun by Carol Clarke

We were lucky that half term was such a lovely week weatherwise here in Nottinghamshire and we had a number of lovely outings with our grandchildren. Stephanie is one of our older granddaughters and we took her to a local Village Fayre. We also took her Yorkie cross Poodle dog Poppy along with us as well. shes actually 4 years old but looks like a puppy and she got a lot of Oohhs and Aahs and a not inconsiderable amout of fuss too ... which she lapped up like a diva! lol

Cute Cat Sculpture by Clare Walker

Wandering around the whimsical and flower-filled Fulham Palace gardens last weekend, we stumbled (almost literally) across this cute sculpture of a cat sitting on a pile of books. He`s one of a number of wooden sculptures behind the palace, all carved out of an old tree stump, and apparently-after a bit of internet research- the work of tree artist, Andrew Frost.

BOY BUT MY HUSBAND IS PERFECT by Wanda Lipski

Last weekend was Mothers Day here in France and my sweet hubby, knowing that my children are far away and probably not even aware of the French date for this event, came home with this lovely Mothers Day celebration heart. It looked wonderful and tasted heavenly. Sorry to brag about hubby but since I dont have any grandchildren ((yet! ... will I ever) to brag about I thought Id share the delights of French patisserie with you. My latest new card design is this Twist & Pop card. The concertina insert twists when you open the card to lay out horizontally. Theyre incredibly easy to make up but definitely have that WOW factor. Hope you enjoy the card, since Im afraid the cake was consumed long ago !!! Have a good week.

Summer Begins by Valerie Dawes

How lovely to have the summer returning again, bringing along with the sunshine, all the lovely flowers and plants in our gardens. I often think of perrennial plants as old friends, who return to greet me every year.Ive included here a photograph taken recently in my garden, from underneath the pink lilac tree. Everything seems to have done really well so far this year - I really hope it continues until November!

Baby Robin by Judith Henry

On my daily walk I found this lone baby robin sitting on the fence. I looked around for the mommy bird before I approach him. His eyes followed me cocking his head from one side to the others. He did not seem afraid of me. I got with in arms length of him befor I got my phone out. I took several pictures amazed that he just sat ther. I think there will be a card designed with this story in mind.
