Hello Fellow Crafters and Designers! I have written this piece to hopefully inspire others.
Here is the story of me... In the summer of 2014, I started out as a bored person, who had spent months in bed recovering from a life-threatening medical condition, looking for a "free" bookmark for my book. I stumbled upon, quite accidentally, the Craftsuprint website and was wowed and amazed at the quality of cards that were out there. How could such things exist???
No, I did not find my "free" bookmark, but I did find the key that unlocked the door to this new Universe of magic and creativity. I was mesmerized by the designs that I saw on this site.
In the first year, I purchased and physically made up over 500 greeting cards. As you can imagine, I had cards stored in EVERY nook and cranny of our home.
I started out with very simple "print and fold" designs, then quickly began making cards that were more complex to assemble. I was such a BEGINNER, that I did not know what "V" folds or "M" folds were or how to score. But I figured them out by looking at the preview pictures of the cards.
I then decided that I wanted to learn how to design these magnificent kits. I must admit that there was a lot of cussing and crying going on while I tried to figure out how to use an ancient, but free version of Design Software, but I finally figured it out.
On February 5, 2016, my application to become a designer for this fabulous company was accepted and I began designing greeting cards.
In under 2 years, I have designed 707 card kits and designer resources kits, gained 85 Followers, and my designs have sold more than 3,800 times, which is amazing for this girl born and raised in a tiny town in Northern Ontario, Canada. When I started out, I thought to myself "who would possibly want to purchase my designs when there are so many talented AND experienced designers out there?"
Then an amazing thing happened! Card makers started purchasing MY designs. When you look at the kits that I have designed, you will see my progression as I taught myself how to design.
I do not exaggerate when I say that Craftsuprint has saved my life! For me, I have a deep-seeded urge to create and if I am not able to be creative, my soul withers and dies.
Craftsuprint has opened Creative Doors to me that I did not know existed, but desperately needed.
I want to thank EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU, be it card maker or designer, for supporting me these past couple of years. Your support means more to me than words can ever say. THANK YOU!!!
