Every One Remembered by Janyce Cotterill

As we near Remembrance Sunday, our thoughts turn to those who have lost their lives in conflicts all over the world. This poignant art installation, I visited last week, was made by conceptual artist, Mark Humphrey. It is to commemorate every one of the 1,117,077 fallen Servicemen and Servicewomen of the First World War. Lest We Forget.Im leaving you with one of my poppy themed sheets and one of my birthstone and flower sheets, for the month November. Thank you for your interest.

MY NEW ARRIVAL by Wanda Lipski

No, its not a grandchild (mores the pity) just an electronic church organ that it now in my music room along with an upright and a grand piano, various guitars, a flute and all the plants that we winter inside. A veritable musical jungle ! This is my 60th birthday present to myself. I can hardly believe that I have reached such a milestone. I still feel 30, but must admit that when I look in the mirror it replies ... Youre no longer the fairest, definitely 60. Well actually my birthday is tomorrow, Saturday 11th, and I have put myself on Designer Discount so that you can all celebrate with me. I will also ask you all to send me a BIRTHDAY HUG, any old card will do, but it would be a great present to feel CUP hugged. Have a great weekend, and go make the most of my discount. Love you all. xxx Wanda

Hubbys Birthday by Sue Way

Last weekend we celebrated my hubbys birthday. Kelly came over with her hubby and the girls and we had a lovely walk along the beach in the sunshine with the dogs. It was a bit cold, so the girls borrowed some of my hats and gloves. Jessica was off running and jumping as usual, but I got this lovely picture of the birthday boy with Imogen and Alfie. We are so lucky to live just minutes from this great beach. Here are a couple of my latest designs. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

We had our first frost this week ekk! And on the final count down to christmas! Double eek! Well its secretly my favourite time of the year, i love digging my scarf and bobble hat out and i love hot chocolate and the fire on. Well my mother-in-law gave me this chocolate fondue when i first met my husband and we decided to dig it out and show the kids that strawberries can be even tastier! Yummy!

Just Monkeying Around! by Carol Clarke

Once again we headed to Clumber Park with 2 year old Austin for our Cuddle and Giggle day outing. The weather wasnt too bad so we had our picnic and headed for the woodland play area. Austin decided he was a monkey and was swinging from the ropes shouting OO OO! lol I guess he must have seen a TV Program about monkeys recently!

Steam Wonderland by Valerie Dawes

We recently visited the Thursford Collection near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk. Id been telling our friends how wonderful it was there, but it was still a delight to see their faces as we walked into the exhibition hall. It is filled with polished traction engines, Victorian roundabouts and steam organs from all over the world, all set in a landscape of trees decked with fairy lights. We were just in time to walk around and listen as each of the amazing organs was used to play tunes and to watch the little figures banging their cymbals and drums! Just wish I lived nearer so that I could visit their Christmas spectacular.

Moving Onward by Diane Hannah

Now that high school softball is finished for the school year, it is time to move on to travel ball. My granddaughter Riley has such a love for this sport. She plays year round. With her goal of being involved in sports medicine when she finishes college, she puts her talents to very good use. She has the hope of getting a college scholarship to help offset the cost of higher education, by doing what she loves. Great job Riley!

Bouncing Around! by Rachael Dunne

We have my partners little boy over to stay every weekend. As he has more energy than any child Ive ever known, were always looking for new and exciting ways for him to burn it off. We were so excited to hear about a new indoor inflatable theme park which has recently opened in Manchester, we just had to go!Its basically a warehouse sized bouncy castle which has all different play areas and obstacle courses contained within it where adults and children can play together. I forgot just how much fun I had on bouncy castles when I was a kid but it didnt take me long to remember. After bouncing for an hour, I thought we would all flake out and watch movies on the sofa but no, Archie still had enough energy left for a game of football on the park with his dad.

Mother Nature AGAIN! by Vicki Avcin

Well Mother Nature just keeps throwing this crazy weather at us again. Last Tuesday the forecasts were that we were in a stretch of the Queensland coastthat would be in for storms. . There was a 2300klm line of storms stretched up through our State. That is pretty unheard of. Some forecasters saying our patch was in for severe/supercellstorms. But being that a lot of the time and that dome that lies over Hervey Bay all we could dowas wait and see. About 4.30pm we could see we would get something but the cell wasnt really that big. It moved to the north towards us and some rain was about all we thought wed be getting. Well….. next thing we heard it on the roof but to our astonishment (and delight) it was hail!! We have been in this house for 10 years now and it is only the 2nd time we have had hail. The storm only lasted 5 mins with the hail, lightening/thunder, the wind and 10 mm of rain in that 5 mins. But thankfully the hail wasnt big damaging hail, it was exciting to get it. Later that night the rain started again and hammered down with another 53mm recorded. Maybe our weather patterns are finally coming back to the good old days and we will once again get some good storms. There was no damage recorded from this storm here. Unfortunately though, Bundaberg (an hour up the road) was smashed from the same storm system with a lot of damage from 100kph winds.
