STREET ART by Wanda Lipski

Were back from a trip to Evian (you probably know the water) where we were served Vittel water (from somewhere totally different) in the restaurant and where I snapped this wonderful piece of street art. Actually these umbrellas had been hung in honour of the Evian ladies golf tournament, but I felt they were so cut I just had to share them with you all. So its only natural that I should spotlight my very own golfing card and one of my latest creations, for any of you already panicking and after a quick Christmas fix. ENJOY and have a good week.

Unwelcome Visitor by Vicki Avcin

Last week we had an unwelcome visitor in the form of a 8ft Carpet Python thinking he was going to have a good feast as he came into our shed. It is the time of the year as the weather heats up that snakes are on the move looking for food and a mate. We have an area that we have christened The Pussy Palace, where our cats get locked up at night time or when we arent home. I dont like leaving pets in the house as they tend to hunt the wildlife at night and also should there be a house fire they have no means of escape, so we have built an area that has an indoor and outdoor area where they are safe. They love I and will go in by themselves even when we are home and curl up in their beds and go to sleep. There are 2 doors (like an airlock) and the walls are mesh with the inner wall made of snake mesh from the floor to about 3ft high but a bigger mesh on the top. The outer wall was just the bigger mesh. Hubby was out getting the bird seed to feed our wildbirds that come in the afternoons when he noticed the broom wasnt where it should be. He pushed it back and the broom moved again and as he looked down saw the tail end of a snake slither in behind a washing machine that we wash the cat bedding in. He got the torch and found a carpet snake curled up. As I have a total fear of snakes, although pythons are not venomous, they do tend to wrap themselves around their food and strangle them before eating. It dawned on me that my 3 old kitties probably were on his menu as while most snakes wont climb mesh (well the venomous ones), this fellow could well manoeuvre itself to stand up enough to get through the wire mesh at the top. I immediately called the local snake catcher to come out and get it so it could be relocated well away from our area. The whole area that our kitties have is now fully snake meshed to prevent any other snake with ideas of Kitty Pie for dinner from getting in.

My promotional items are from my Gift Wallet collection which are perfect for putting money, tickets or other small gifts in for Christmas. Wallets also available for other occasions too.

Another Mystery Plant Update! by Sue Way

Some of you may remember my mystery plant news from a while back. Well I finally had to pick it as the summer is over so it wasnt getting the heat it required and as the leaves had all shrivelled it also wasnt getting its sweetness from the leaves. As you can see from the egg cups in the picture, it didnt grow as big as a normal melon, but when I cut it open it looked ok and tasted just like a melon. Not bad for a freebie from the birds. I have also had a good crop of cherry tomatoes that I didnt plant. Isnt nature wonderful? Here are my latest designs & dont forget to check out the special offers on my home page. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Night shoots by Tina Fitch

Well you can see what I have been up to this week.. Yes shooting Jets and more jets .. Up to Lakenheath 3 times this week, In fact I think now we will be looking to move up there in the not to distant future! My Mother in law lives just off base in Mildenhall and I think we will be venturing close to her...Anyway the photo this week was taken today Thursday 5/10/17 evening time you can see that the sun has just hit the side of the aircraft.. It was really a stunning view to see with the naked eye.. Not sure the photo really makes it as spectacular as it was at the time of taking it.. They have been on nights this week so more practice for me with my new lens..All files in all formats only here https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

That`s a Funny-Looking Deer...

by Clare Walker

So this week, we ventured into Richmond Park. The trees were turning golden, the sky was blue...and the air was thick with the bellows of rutting red deer. So you`d think, wouldn`t you, that it would have been relatively easy to photograph one of these magnificent creatures?Let me tell you, it was not. It`s actually quite amazing just how well Britain`s largest land mammal can camouflage itself amongst bracken. So instead of a tip of antlers, or out-of-focus-herd-from-a-distance shot, I present for you instead in this photo. It`s not, of course, of an exceptionally funny-looking stag, but a really handsome Egyptian goose. Apparently these birds are escapees from private ponds, and there are only about 1000 breeding pairs of them in the whole country. So all in all, seeing a couple of these birds in the sunshine (plus lots of other gorgeous wildlife) made for a pretty good day out...Maybe even, one that was more unusual than had we seen those elusive stags close-up...

Picture Day by Diane Hannah

This is Olivia, she is my granddaughter. She is looking all grown up for school picture day today. Standing in front of the roses in her front yard. They make a lovely backdrop. I cant believe how fast the time has gone, seems like yesterday she was just a toddler. Now in the third grade, she is looking so sophisticated. Ready for those school pictures. I hope they come out as well as this one. Have a marvelous day!
