Mini Sports! by Carol Clarke

Our Cuddle n Giggle Day outing with 5 year old Olivia and 2 year old Austin took us once again to Clumber Park. We were so lucky with the weather ... it had rained just about all week but the sun came out for our outing. There were mini sports on the field and we had fun with balance boards, throwing the bean bags, hula hooping, volleyball, tenis, badmington, archery, egg and spoon race etc etc etc We werent very good at any of them but we had lots and lots of laughs! lol Below are 2 of my NEW Sleeps Till Santa designs. My hUGG Boots by Cynthia Massey

Over the past couple of years I have hand knitted 70 pairs of fur trimmed boots from CUP knitting pattern cup543058_2053, I had sew-on labels made with hUGG printed on them and are selling them as hUGG boots! I recently has a request for 3 pairs of my hUGG boots, 2 pairs normal size (0-3 months) and one pair smaller, my customer didnt want the normal baby colours because they were not for babies........I wonder who or what will be wearing them!!!

Our border collie pup Fidget has been taking notice of our other dog, Mak. She is now quite happy venturing out for a swim to bring us back the ball after watching him do it for a while. She was never too keen on the water but has taken a shine to it now. She can even out run Mak to get the ball first from the water. Weve been making the most of the beach this month as they wont be able to go in for a swim soon when the weather turns as it gets too choppy for them.

Up an away! by Tina Fitch

Well another trip to RAF Lakenheath this week... I had bought a new lens and wanted to try it out on my new camera,, and what a shot this is! You can see every detail and it looks so sharp! Those jets have me tingling.. I love them they are so fast and at first I was finding it very hard to catch them in the viewfinder but I have now overcome that hurdle and seem to be settling in just fine as you can see.I actually took over 3,000 shots on Tuesday so its taken me ages to go through them and crop and edit .. It my new hobby and whilst I am concentrating on this I havent had much time to design :-( .. However I have now started on New designs for Christmas so they should be cut and tested very shortly to upload for you

Last Summer Birthday Party for Olivia by Diane Hannah

Well now its time for Olivia to attend the last summer birthday party for one of her friends. All of the water feature parks are now winding down. In a few short weeks they will all be closed until next spring. This little girl loves the water and swimming. Its nice to have just a little more summer fun after the school year has started. Have a great school year Olivia!

What a Way to Spend a Birthday by Gill Dean

I used to attend regular crafts fair at a local garden centre near to Jodrell Bank, then the centre was bought by another company, and they then leased the space used by the craft fairs to someone else, meaning no more craft fairs. The lady who used to organise them gave the crafter names and details to a young man who showed an interest in running craft fairs, and on Saturday 29th July, which also happened to be my birthday, I attended a craft fair at a local civic hall, which was organised by the new gentleman.There were about 25 stalls, and because there was a nearby farmers market on the same day, we expected quite a good footfall, the day started out well but even though the footfall was regular, not as many people as anticipated came to look around. I was selling cards made from Craftsuprint downloads, and even though I got loads of lovely comments I did not sell anything which was a blow and very disheartening. The only excitement and highlight of the day (if you can call it that) came when the chair I was sitting on broke and I landed on the floor with a massive bang, I took my time getting up with the assistance of three handsome men, being careful not to damage my new hip, and, apart from having a bruised and battered ego all was fine and left only a little stiffness the next day. The funny part came after the fall when one of the stallholders gave me 10 for effort and 10 for artistic expression. The stall next door was selling a cross between a cupcake and a muffin – and he gave me half a dozen for my birthday, in raspberry and oreo, black forest gareaux, baileys irish cream flavours, and they were yummy.

The Resident in Our Living Room... by Clare Walker

As it`s holiday time, a permanent-and much-loved- resident in our living must have just turned 37. Meet *Mr Hibiscus*, who my Mum took as a cutting on holiday in Portugal when I was small. And who, as you can see, is very much alive and kicking in our flat in 2017. My Mum looked after him (and believe me, strange though may sound to some, this is a plant of some personality, who it isn`t hard to call, him at all) until she died. And then I inherited him, just as you might inherit anything else. Since Mr Hibiscus has survived and thrived here for about 18 years, and is about 8 ft tall, he seems pretty happy here.So if you`re sick of net curtains, but don`t want everyone looking in, maybe a resident hibiscus might work for you too...

Times are changing by Anne Lever

My mum loves Acers. She has many of them, all different. This particular one is in the middle of changing its colours for autumn. It started to change from green to red, about three weeks ago, in July. That was very very early for an Acer to start to turn. It is almost as if the seasons have shifted forwards! We are getting spring flowers in February, summer in may, and blackberries in July!

DJ Alfie by Janice McFarlane

My five year old grandson Alfie will have a go at anything with great enthusiasm. So when his daddy was asked to DJ at his sections families day at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire, Alfie jumped at the chance to help him. My son-in-law has been a DJ for a few years and has all of his own decks and equipment etc,, so Alfie is no stranger to them. But Alfie felt he should also dress for the part, so choosing carefully what he was going to wear and posing for the camera, I think he looks every bit of DJ Alfie.

Mystery Plant Update! by Sue Way

Some of you may remember a few weeks ago I told you about a mystery plant growing in a pot in our garden. We thought it might be a cucumber or courgette, as it had little yellow flowers. Well, the other day I noticed it was bearing fruit so after asking on Facebook & lots of Googling, I have come to the conclusion that it may be a cantaloupe melon! How amazing will that be? Its still very small, but I have my fingers crossed as I would prefer that to cucumber lol Also my dog Alfie loves cantaloupe! Have a look at the pic and see what you think & I will update you when I know for sure.
