The Promise Of Spring by Janyce Cotterill

Spring, my favourite time of year. Here are in the UK we watch as Spring unfolds. The buds opening, just as they are in these photos I took last week. The blossom on the trees, the birds singing and building their nests. Our nest box is being turned into a little home for blue tits once again. The days are getting longer and there is more warmth in the sun. Simple pleasures, that cost no money, yet are worth more than anything you can buy. For me it is pure joy. If it is Spring in your world I hope you are enjoying it too! Im leaving you a couple of my items. One is my latest offering which is a collection of verse inserts. These will not be available as single sheets and are all my latest verses. The second is a music themed mini-kit. Thank you for your interest.

Cyclone Debbie by Joan King

First it was Australia who suffered the horrors of Cyclone Debbie and then it kindly made its way to New Zealand. Only one part of New Zealand got the cyclonic winds but we have had horrendous flooding particularly through the North Island of New Zealand. Where I live only 100 metres from the photograph the flooding was obvious. A small waterway about 20 feet wide just broke its banks and flooded a huge area. Fortunately it didnt go into the homes. This came from about 300mm of rain over two days. We had it lightly compared to other places though. Not far from us a whole town today has had to be evacuated as it was all under water due to the river breaking its banks. This has been common throughout a lot of the country. Flooding and slips and tremendous damage. I am showcasing two of my latest designs today.

Anniversary! by Sue Way

Last Saturday was our Anniversary. We have been married for 39 years! Not bad considering its April Fools Day too! lol Next year will be our Ruby Wedding Anniversary, which is amazing as it only seems like yesterday that I painted a special plate to give to my mum & dad on their Ruby Wedding. How the time flies. This year we went out for a meal in a new Thai restaurant that has opened in our town and I took this photo of our magnolia bush in full flower. I brought this for our Pearl Wedding Anniversary 9 years ago. We have never seen it with so many blooms, so it was a real celebration. This week I am showcasing a couple of my top selling Anniversary designs, which I have also put on special offer with 25% off. Please click the follow button next to my name on my homepage so that you can quickly find my latest updates http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Debbie Does Queensland (Part 2)

by Vicki Avcin

Last week my news was about TC Debbie that has borne down on Queensland. Today a bit of followup on the devastation she has caused. She started back at the end of March and is still continuing to wreak havoc on Queensland afterripping through the state. She went across the coast around Bowen and Airlie Beach, with massive rain and winds (200 plus kilometers per hour) and dumped huge amounts of rain from Bowen to Mackay causing massive damage and flooding. She then went inland before turning back towards the coast heading south east which saw areas getting big rainfalls, and galeforce winds as she past. I live where the red dots are! She caused flooding all the way down through Brisbane and northern New South Wales with areas like Lismore having some of the biggest floods theyve had. Areas south of Brisbane also had the highest floods theyve had for nearly 30 years. But she wasnt finished yet……. Rockhampton in Central Queensland that really didnt see the full brunt of TC Debbie, is now nearly 2 weeks later and has today reached one of the highest flood peaks they have had. The reason for it taking so long is as Debbie tracked inland she dumped massive rainfalls in the catchment areas west of Rockhampton. It has taken all this time for the water to reach Rockhampton. Because of the massive amounts of water it will take nearly a week for the flood waters to recede. All areas in Queensland and northern NSW are now beginning the huge cleanup and counting the loss of homes, businesses and stock (horses, cattle etc). Sadly there has been loss of life also due to Debbie. After finally leaving the shores of Australia she travelled across the ditch to New Zealand and is now causing damage and flooding over there. This has truly been a massive weather event, and one of the most damaging destructive storms to have hit the Eastern Coast of Australia. The highest category for our cyclones is Cat 5, it is disputed whether she actually made it to that but was a Category 4 and although once on land she is classified as a Tropical Low she still packed the power of Cat 3, 2 an 1 as she swept through and went back out to sea. Mother Nature really put on a show this year!!!

Today I am showing you my latest Designer Resource pack and new Envelope pack.

Star of the Day!! by Carol Clarke

Most weeks when we have our Cuddle & Giggle day I have the honour of collecting 4 year old Olivia from school. Her foundation class has a Star of the Day Teddy which is awarded each day to a child that has worked hard or been super good. This star of the Day child is then brought to the classroom door to where all the parents and grandparents are waiting and yesterday I was standing there when this happy and proud girl with a beaming smile on her face appeared holding Star Teddy!! Needless to say I was one really proud Nana! Luckily it was a gorgeous sunny day and we had a lovely time on the park too! Below are 2 of my NEWEST designs. Watch out for more Coming soon!!

Easter clubs and trips by Kelly Barker

So its the easter holidays and Im not sure if I am trying to keep my kids busy or the other way round. I always have a lot lined up for them and then they always want to do more! Today I sent them off with the biggest packed lunches I have ever made. Jessica was off on a Brownie trip to a local country park and Imogen was off to an easter club with her dance school, where she will be doing singing, dancing, crafting and eating!! We had an hour between drop offs, so me and Immy got to walk Baxter in the beautuful sunshine too. They were very excited about the day ahead and I was quite excited to have a quiet house for a few hours to do my housework ha ha! I have a great mix of designs on special offer this week, including some great bestsellers :) thanks for looking.

Out with the Cars by Tina Fitch

Well the weather was lovely on Sunday so off to the RS meet we went.. This time both the RSs attended, I drove one and my husband drove the other. Sunday we had a fab turn out of 21 cars in total, We meet once a month normally and always at the end of the month but Sunday was extra due to having a show the week before.. We are now coming up to the show season the meets will be more frequent ..Work still needs to be done on both to get them ready, The MK3 went into the paint shop this week to have some loving care spread.. I love the new car but it always bothers me that the manufacturers always add so much plastic.. so ME being me I have to have it painted.. Silly really as they could add it as an option when you buy..Anyway thats my short news for this week But look out next week as I am venturing into the Forbidden Forest!
