Horses Jumping LogCompleted by Gwyneth George
OccasionI printed the design out onto 300gsm Super Smooth cardstock and then coloured it in using my ProMarkers. I then scanned it into my computer, saved it with a clear background, and took it in to one of my graphics packages, together with backgrounds from cup47865_359 and ribbons from cup54409_359. I resized, moved around, etc., until I had an A5 card front I was happy with, adding a greeting "Penblwydd Hapus" - Welsh for "Happy Birthday" - in one of the brown colours I'd used to colour in one of the horses. I moved the "topper" with the horses to the other side of my working area and put a white area where I intended to put it, to save on ink. I then printed my design out onto 300gsm Super Smooth white cardstock, cut out the card front and added horse panel. I then scored and folded an A4 sheet of Ivory cardstock, to create an !5 base card. I stuck my card front directly to this and then used 1mm deep, double sided, foam tape to attach the horse topper in the place I'd left for it.
This is a lovely image to work with, with just enough detail to help with the colouring in. I chose to do two different coloured horses, but you could colour them in in whatever colours you want.
