In my graphics programme I opened one of these beautiful rose corners and resized it. I cloned two colours from it to used for the borders and text. I added the resized corner to my octagonal centre to create the border around the word 'MUM'.
I resized the same corner again to add to the text. Finally, I used kaleidoscope to design the corners.
