I have used this butterfly bunny image as an Easter Greeting card and by printing the sheet provided twice onto the same A4 sheet and once again onto a separate sheet, I was able to use a step by step method of decoupage to complete the project.
The main ivory card is made from an A4 sheet and cut down to measure21cm high. I have used a pink floral print as the backing sheet cut at 20x14cm. I have used one image of the bunny and butterfly as the main background and cut it at 17x9.5cm.
I cut the leg section off at 6.5cm down from the top of the bunny’s pink nose and attached this to the green textured 12.5x4cm background sheet.
I attached the lace around the 3 sides of the main reduced image using very narrow D.S. tape and then attached the green background sheet with the shoes to make the complete image before attaching the lace with the spotty ribbon across the join.
I have used strips of gems on 3 sides and gem split pins as embellishments. I attached this topper section to the pink floral backing sheet securing the horizontal lace and ribbon tails at the back.
I attached this topper to the card front using 6mm wide D.S. tape.
I have used one of the copies of the sheet to cut out the bunny and the butterfly and used tiny D.S. squares and wet white thickened glue to attach them in place.
I used the next copy to cut out the image of the face, ears, shirt and pants as a complete unit and attach this image using padded D.S. squares.
I also used this third image of the butterfly without the feelers in the same manner and a small strip of gems as embellishments.
I have used pink peel off strips around the image to form a frame. To complete the insert I have used the same pink floral image and attached the verse I have written and some butterfly embellishments.
