I have made a Valentine’s Day card for my daughter with this absolutely cute image. I have used one of the grumpy toddlers, Avery, to stand in a corner with Bella the dog from another Sassy Cheryl Clip art image.
The rhyme is from the book of Verses by A.A.
Milne. I used to recite in my childhood and then to my difficult to feed toddler, changing the name to hers, as I recited.
I have used the blue version of cup1026013_1827, Lace band Card Background 1, cut at 14cm square to attach to the #12 aqua spotty backing sheet from Hot Air Balloon Papers AMB-2447, cup917114_83483, which I have cut at 15cm square to attach to a 15cm square prepared bronze pearl finished card front.
I have used the striped #5 paper to make a backing sheet, cut at 12.5x11.5cm to attach to a firmer card the same size and using the stripes in the vertical position, attached a horizontal 11.5x 4.5cm striped strip across the lower half and then a 11.5cm x 1cm strip of the aqua spot across the join and used glitter peel off strips to define the join.
I attached this to the card front using padded D.S. tape. I then attached the black glitter and the gold glitter peel off decorative strips.
I printed the sheet provided from the Sassy Cheryl Clip Art and have made 3 cards using the sheet to print several times and then using the single images to make 2 cards and the double images to make the third card.
I have used 2 images of Avery to out carefully. The first one keeping the wispy hair ends intact and the second minus the wispy hair ends.
I draw and colours with pencils an image of a corner of a room onto a 10.5cm high by 10cm wide white good quality paper and used a very small image of Bella, From the Sassy Cheryl Clip Art Bella and her Flowers, to stand in the corner and placed the completed decoupage version of Avery as if standing in the corner I have added a drawn broken flower to the image.
I added a copy of one of the lines from the book “When we were very Young” by A.A. Milne, being the reason for Avery being grumpy.
To complete the insert, I have used the pink version from the sheet Lace band background 1 to copy and cut at14.5 x 14cm and attach the valentine’s day sentiments.
I have used a larger version of Bella from the same sheet as the tiny version and left space for my personal greeting.
I hope you like my finished card as I know it will bring a smile when it is received. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
