Dr Lace Backgrounds Blues Kit 1Completed by Gwyneth George

I've used one of the shades of lace backgrounds from this kit to make three items so far. A small box, an insert, and the card front you can see here. For this card front I took the background into one of my graphics programs, put two of the same Circular Lace & Ribbon Frames (cup208647_692) on top, making one smaller as a greetings panel, putting a soft background circle behind the smaller one before putting on a "Penblwydd Hapus" greeting (Welsh for Happy Birthday). I then merged all the layers down and printed out the card onto good quality cardstock, trimming, scoreing and then folding the card. I simply decorated the printed out card with an organza ribbon bow, some crystal and faux pearl hat pins, and some sticky back clear gems.

The graduated shading of blues in the kit means that a matching, but softer, insert could be made in a similar way, and the whole set gives so many posibilities for a lacey, soft, look to projects.
