In my graphics programme I opened my octagonal exploding box template. I created a backing paper using a leafy pattern in blue. I opened one of these gorgeous spring bird scenes and resized it to fit the outer flaps of my box card.
I cropped the same image into an octagonal shape for the inside of the box and also for the top of the lid.
I made decoupage layers to add depth. Finally, I cropped the same bird image into circular frames to add to the small inner flaps. These images are so lovely. I just know that they will be used over and over in my designs.
