8x8 Floral Pattern Background Kit Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have used this set of floral Mix backing, background papers to choose p8 as the main card for the birthday greeting card, I have made, using a design by Ceredwyn Macrae, Lovely Spring Daffodils on Ivory Lace, cup493684_1398.

I printed the p8 sheet from the set onto 170gsm white satin finished A4 photo paper onto both sides. I cut this to measure, 28x14.5cm. I scored and folded it easel style and using Padded D.S. tape attached the topper to the card front.

The topper has a blue backing sheet in the same shade as the butterflies and is cut at 13.5x10cm, the edges of which are edged with decorative gold peel off strips before attaching the gold ribbon across.

The smaller elements, I have then used to complete the decoupage.

I have added the gold peel off Happy Birthday, which is attached to the backing sheet p8 cut at 7x1.5cm and mounted onto the gold satin finished backing paper, to attach to the lower section of the card front, using padded D.S. tape.

I have added the gold peel off fine line strips around the outer edge of the card front and attached the small gold bow and the gold butterfly as extra embellishments to enhance the card front.

The card opens to display the #8 print as the main focus with smaller elements from the decoupage sheet and the verse I have chosen, which is printed onto copy paper using the same p8 tiny delicate floral featured on the crisp white background.

This set of papers by Moon flower cards and Designer Resources has so much appeal and allows the card maker so many choices, from this p8 which is the most delicate of shades to the p15, which is very bright and bold.
