A beautiful cutting file for a New Baby - and with both boy and girl greetings. Cut out main card in 250gsm brilliant white card and then the layers and bows in 170gsm white and blue card.
Embossed with daisy design the top layers of the bootee's and then layered up my cut pieces using silicone glue.
Added organza flowers with decorative pearls and baby blue pearls on the straps and greeting. An adorable card when completed.
I'm new to machine cutting so was a bit nervous about the lace effect, but think this turned out beautiful.
All the white parts will fit on two 12x12 sheets, and the colored pieces fit on one 12x12 sheet.
Normally I tend to want glue right to the very edge of pieces, but think the lace edge looks better if it's not completely glued down.
I used an embossing folder to add texture to the top layer of the shoes. I can't make up my mind where I want the sentiment so haven't stuck that on yet.
A few hints if you're also new to this: Make sure your sitcky mat is sticky as you don't want the paper to lift up at all, and it also helps pull out the little holes from the lace.
If you don't have a purchased scraper, an old plastic credit card works great to push the holes off your mat.
If you use textured paper for the lace pieces, be sure to have a very sharp blade. As a bonus, the words could be used on other cards.
I cut using white for the base and lilac textured card lilac dot embossed card and white glitter card,I assembled the layers using glue gel and finished with pearls to act as buttons,Cuts beautifully and makes a stunning keepsake card.
