3 Crosses for Religious Occassions

I took the cutting file into my Silhouette Studio software and cut the layers out of 280gsm white, linen textured, cardstock and 216gsm lilac coloured textured cardstock. I also cut out some flourishes using cuting file cup426056_597 and a circle.

I took an A4 sheet of the same 280gsm white cardstock and scored it using my Hougie Board before folding it in half to make my base card. I used fingerlift tape to attach the circle towards the top left and then 1mm deep, double sided, foam tape to attach cross layers of alternating colours. I had cut the middle layer out of white as well, so cut off the top and bottom of this to use as a greetings panel. I attached this along the bottom at the bottom left of my card. I embelished simply with a white feather and some of the flourishes I'd cut, by putting glue gel on their bottom ends and tucking them behind the greetings panel. I've not added the greeting yet as I don't know what language the card will be needed in.

I've kept the cross plain on this card, but the cross itself could be embelished in a variety of ways as well.

On the large cross I cut out 3 crosses on the Silhouette using glitter paper. I stacked them using foam adhesive.

In the middle I put a sentiment that says, "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." I used the Sizzix to cut that out.

I put bling on the bottom, top, & sides. On the small crosses I cut 3 different crosses in complimentary colors and stacked them. There are so many ways to make these crosses that you could make so many and have them all turn out different.
