I cut the base aperture card from white card and the frame from a floral pattern design. The toppers for the chicks are cut from various colurs of 180 gsm card and attached to the base with wet glue.

I made an insert for the card using a contrasting patterned paper which shows through the aperture and has a sentiment printed inside.
