I cut the rose layers out of 160gsm white cardstock and then used an inking tool and Tattered Rose Distress Ink to colour the petal edges before using my trusty Craft Bob bone folder to shape all the petals. I then used a paper glue to stick all the layers together. I created a box from 300gsm White cardstock, embossing the top and sides using a Glitter Girls board and putting some of the smae distress ink on the top and sides to bring out the embossing. I finished off by sticking the rose to the top of the box using template tape.

The rose could be cut out of lightweight cardstock to go with whatever colour scheme you want, or cut out of white and coloured with the same inks or marker pens as you are using in your project, to make sure that it is a perfect colour match.
