These four shapes are be able to be cut in many different ways. Remove the matts and cut the layer into your card, use the outer mat to put behind it.

You can also use the inner matt to cut the layer out of your card and either use the outer layer to matt behind, or use another inner matt behind and the outer matt as a contrast.
