I cut the outer card from blue 220 gsm card and for the inside pop up I used 180 gsm white card as thinnner card is easier for the folding.
The cats and dogs were cut from black 180 gsm card and then stuck in place on the pop up.
I applied wet glue to the back of the top half of the pop up avoiding the pop out parts and centred it on to the base card matching up the centre fold lines then closed the card flat making sure the pop up didn't move.
Once dry I repeated the process for the bottom half of the pop up.
