Vintage Vehicle Trio Set 2Completed by Glenys Linehan

I decided to treat these in 3 different ways to see what the result would be.

Firstly I cut the train out using 250 gsm black card and then added a matt silver background to give a more defined result. (Photo 1) This is the basic file that is uploaded from the trio.

Next I cut out the basic file for the biplane from 250 gsm red card and added a few lines using a fine black marker to define the parts of the plane and coloured the propellers and seat, then I added a few stick ons on the wings and the registration BD60 as this was to be for a retired pilots 60th birthday (Photo 2) and made a backing from plain white card which I coloured to give the effect of clouds using distress ink.

For the galleon I cut out the basic file twice, first on 250gsm brown card, which I would use as the base card and then on 200 gsm white card which I then cut the sails from.

I attached these using glue to the base card (you could attach these using foam pads to give a 3d effect).

Once these were dry I used a fine line pen to give the effect of the folds in the sails (Photo 3).

Finally I used the piece of white card left to create a sea/sky effect as a background using distressed ink again and glued this to the back of the image.

I then cut a thin strip of blue and stuck this at the bottom of the galleon to give the effect that the galleon was in the sea.
