Measure a piece of leather cord long enough for the cord to fit around the neck once and to be tied at the front with long ends. Make your own beads from silver-plated wire using round nose pliers. Wrap the wire around and shape a wrapped bead using round nose pliers. Thread it onto the leather cord between the glass beads.
Thread the beads onto the leather cord in the chosen order (you may place the beads on the table in front of you first to decide which order looks the best).
Also thread round jump rings with rhinestone rondelles and heart pendants onto the leather cord. Twist the round jump ring open using two flat nose pliers. Twist the opposite way when closing the round jump ring.
Thread a few beads onto both ends of the leather cord and finish with a barrel-shaped bead with a metallised finish at the very end. Glue this in place with Super Attak Instant Glue. The necklace is now finished.
This is a simple technique which is easy to for everyone to follow. The necklace can be put together in many combinations and can be varied in look and colour according to style and taste.
