This braided bracelet is made from macram cords in two thicknesses with attached beads. The bracelet is finished with an adjustable knot made from a seperate braided section, attached onto the bracelet.

Cut a 45cm piece of 4mm macram cord and a 145cm piece of 1mm macram cord. Attach the thick macram cord onto a clip board and braid with the thin macram cord as shown in the picture.

Lightly melt the cord ends on the thick macram cord using a lighter, preventing them from fraying. This also makes it easier to thread the beads onto the cord.

Braid six macram knots between each bead (seven beads in total).

Fasten the ends of the thin macram cord by passing a needle through the nearest bead and then down into the thick macram cord.

Arrange the two ends of the thick macram cord parallel and braid around them with a new piece of thin macram cord.

Cut off both ends of the thin macram cord and melt them. Push them onto the back of the of the braided section. NB: Don't experiment with fastening the thin ends into the thick macram cord as this will prevent the adjustable fastening from working.

Thread a bead onto both ends of the thick macram cord. Close the hole at the end with a small blob of glue. Let it dry.
