Use crochet hook no 3 and chrohet with one part golden thread and one part embroidery yarn. Chrochet about 26 stitches and gather them into a ring

Crochet a line of ferm stitches in the ring

Crochet 4 light stitches. Lead the neadle through the third stitch; crochet 3 light stitches and make a half stang stitch in every 3 ferm stitch. Repeat from star to star until the given size is reached.

For the final finish; crochet small tongues on the upper brim like this: Crochet 3 light stitches; lead the neadle into the first light stitch and crochet one ferm stitch. Continue all the way around the brim.
