Birthday Sport Verses & Poems · Page 3

Any sport that involves water, you’ll always give it a try,
Rowing, canoeing, kayaking, you always prefer being wet than dry,
There’s rafting, surfing, kiteboarding - I’m sure you’ll try them all,
Not forgetting tubing or wind surfing - the sea just seems to call,
You’re more comfortable in the water, than with two feet upon dry land,
But as it is your birthday can we tempt you with a pint in your hand?
However you decide to spend it, whatever you decided to do,
We hope your day is just perfect, by getting totally and thoroughly soaked through!

You like to keep your
body fit and in the best
of shape,
So when you need an exercise
fix, the gym is your escape,
Joining in the classes
or working out with friends,
It’s a brilliant start to your day
or a perfect way at the end,
It really lifts your energy
and gives your mood a boost,
All your levels of heavy stress
are suddenly reduced,
But as today is special
hope you’ll fit in some
birthday cake,
Enjoying time with the family
and giving yourself
a break.

The game you love best of all
its heart - a beautiful oval ball,
A ball that holds hopes and dreams
of the cup being won by your
favourite team,
May your points be many, tackles few
and as today is your birthday
all best wishes we send to you!

A birthday that is perfect
should be spent upon the greens
with a little ball and irons -
I’d be gone and rarely seen,
What bliss would be upon me
striding here and there
watching that little dimpled
ball go high up in the air!
So do please forgive me if on
my birthday cake I pass, as
I’d rather spend it walking
on this hallowed greenest grass.

It's all about the balls you see,
The way they kick them high,
How they bat them,
Hit them, throw them,
The thrill can't be denied,
It's the passing, dribbling, the slam dunk sound,
It's they way they score a goal,
How it got into the back of the net,
Is the story is often told,
It's all about the big ones,
And the small ones too,
For to get any ball into your hands,
Is a perfect day for you,
So I hope that on your special day,
It's game, set, match, perfection,
Then with your friends to celebrate,
You have the finest team selection.

Please don’t get defensive Don’t think we’re on the attack Don’t mean to send you a curved ball, Unless you pass it back. We guess we’re asking for some fair play One without a penalty kick! You never know, this Special Day You could even score a hat trick!

It's football in the morning,
It's football all day long,
And if you catch him singing,
It'll be a supporter's song,
It's the match that's on the telly,
It's discussing tactics down the pub,
It's the headlines on the sports page,
On what's happening at His Club,
But maybe on his birthday,
He'll stop for a moment or two,
To open some cards and presents,
That send special wishes especially to YOU !

What is a perfect birthday?
The ball is in your court,
It must contain what you like best,
And that's a bit of sport,
A pint or two to share with mates,
A family meal is nice,
A ticket to your favourite game,
You wouldn't have to think twice,
But however you decide to spend it,
Whatever you decide to do,
We hope today is very special,
Because today is all about - YOU!

Splice the mainbrace,
Drop the anchor,
Raise a glass and cheer,
Time for celebrations,
That is very clear,
Birthdays happen,
Just once a year,
Do adjust your sails for fun,
Right from early morning,
To the setting of the sun.

Season after season,
You follow your favourite team,
Praying and believing,
One day they'll reign supreme,
You live for football,
You dream of football,
It's all you talk about,
And even on your birthday,
You'll be kicking a ball, no doubt,
But I'm sure you'll set some time apart,
On this your special day,
To read of all the good wishes,
Which are being sent your day!

Today it is your birthday,
But it won't be football free,
For soccer is your passion,
There will be dribbling - guaranteed!
Along with lots of kicking,
And probably some passing too,
With a goalie ready to dive and save,
Any ball that's coming through,
For a day without the beautiful game,
Is a dull and lifeless thing,
So get ready with your footie boots,
And let the celebrations begin!

Every week you follow the game,
Roaring with the crowd,
How did the ref not see that foul?
It shouldn't be allowed!
You want your team to be the best,
To lift that trophy high,
To get that ball in the back of the net,
Before the final whistle draws nigh,
But today it's time to celebrate,
What happens just once a year,
So let's all raise a massive stadium voice,
And give you a birthday cheer!

Football crazy, that's what you are,
You scored a birthday today,
Our bright little star.

It cannot be denied,
The sporty side of you,
It's what you really live for,
It's what youre driven to do,
So Im guessing on your birthday,
There'll be trainers on your feet,
You'll be early in the gym,
Making sure you're hard to beat,
But I hope as todays your birthday,
You'll find time to let it all hang loose,
That a beer will be placed in your right hand,
To replace that healthy juice!

You love to go for a run
To play football or have a swim
You're happy watching TV
You even enjoy going to the gym

may your handicap decrease
may your birdies increase
may the ball fly over the bunker
in one clean sweep
to cover the green
no stopping until
the flag is out
a hole in one
without a doubt
