A charming little card with very good 3D effects.

I had it printed and sent to me by Craftsuprint. They give a very high-quality print, but I'd have preferred something slightly heaver weight for the base layer.

Cut out the base, folded, trimmed to be sure both sides matched, then coloured the cut edges with a red pen.

Cut out all the rest, and again coloured cut edges with red, green or black as appropriate.

Assembled top parts (moustache, heads, legs....)

There's a trick to this card that's a bit disconcerting if you're used to something more conventional. Normally two layers will have the same parts at the same size: but this doesn't! If you compare the two layers that both have the "banner" as the lowest element, they're subtly different. The banner isn't quite as wide on the upper one, and the distance from bottom of banner to top of deer's head is slightly greater. I found that if I centred the banner, let the head rise, and Santa's head move in towards the centre, that worked, and enhanced the 3D effect of the whole thing, but it was a scary moment! The card comes with an alternative sentiment ("Merry Christmas") but I'm a sucker for bad puns so I kept the main one.
