Cute little hedgehogs mailing letters to Santa (grreen frame)Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

If you like cute animals in a Christmas scene, this is the perfect choice to cut out and make a quick Christmas greeting card.

I have printed the sheet twice onto a white 120gsm A4 sheet and used the first copy of the main image as the main backing sheet.

I used D.S. tape to attach the 12cm square gold foil backing sheet, and the 13cm square bright Christmas green red and white backing sheet.

I then wrapped the striped ribbon across the middle horizontally and attached it at the back of the larger backing sheet using D.S. power tape.

I made the 28x14cm main card in a matching red and scored and folded it before attaching this completed topper.

I used gold fine peel off strips to attach around the edges between the main card and the larger backing sheet.

This completes the quick card version which only takes a few minutes to complete when you have all the materials ready.

I then used the second copy to carefully cut out the main image including the lower section of snow. I used padded D.S. tape to attach this decoupage.

I used the sentiment to mount onto gold foil and used D.S. tape to attach it to the top section of the card.

I added the bow and an extra poinsettia. I have used Gold Dust glitter to brush over the blue sky and the snow to give the scene some sparkle.

To complete the insert, I have used the frame from the second copy and removed the sentiment, and used this open section as the lower part of the image.

I attached the verse I had copied from the free verse Christmas section for friends and secured it behind the frame before attaching this to the right hand side of the card.

For the left hand side I have used the same striped backing sheet and some foil with a sentiment. If you like making cards using the decoupage or step by step method, this design easily lends itself to that purpose.

This card has such a cute Christmas feel to it I know it will be welcome in many homes.

Thank you Deloris for the design, I am sending you a Christmas Hug. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
