So cute, and so cold, and yet so friendly. How do you do it Clare? I just love this design. I hope you don't mind , but I did some colour saturation on your " Christmas lace effect", cup814313-79993, to make the base card today.

I made the main card first because I wanted to keep within the blue/grey tones of your design. So I printed off the sheet for the main card first and cut it at 21cm wide x 15.5 cm high and folded it in half. I kept the white and silver edges intact as that is the look I wanted.

I printed 2 copies of the sheet provided onto good quality 200gsm card. With the first copy, I carefully, cut away the frame, and then backed the frame, with a white card, 12.5cm x 7.25cm, which is exactly the same size as the frame, to give it strength and stability

I made a silver backing sheet,13 x 9cm and attached them together with D.S tape, and I now used D.S. Tape to attach this to the card front. With the second copy of the sheet, I cut out the central theme of the art work, including the blue frame and 2mm wider all round than the black fine squiggle line, of the art work. This then ends up measuring 9.2cm x 6cm. I used tiny strips of the padded tape to attach this to the card front. I then used the element left over from the first copy of the sheet to reduce the size of this to, 8 x 5cm, by cutting away this piece, to the fine black line area, BUT leaving intact, the snowy sparkles at the lower end of the art work. NOTE, that I kept the frame of this as a piece to use on the insert, I had planned. The last of the elements I attached with padded D.S tape, tiny squares. I then used 2 different silver and black peel off strips to edge the main frame and the coloured edge of the main card.

I used very tiny scissors to carefully cut out the 2 darling penguins, being careful not lose the tiny beak on the baby penguin.

I added the sentiment and tied and added the big white bow. Last of all I used some glitter glue to high light the snow areas and the bow.

I set this aside to dry while I made the insert.

I used the same cup design cup814313-79993, to print onto copy paper, in the saturated, greyer tones, and cut it at 20 x 15cm, leaving on the silver and white edges for continuity with the main card.

I used the left over frame from the second card copy of the sheet, and a paper copy of the 2 penguins in a slightly larger size for the left hand side of the insert.. I hand wrote the verse, and will do the greeting later. I used silver glitter peel off strips, for the insert verse, before attaching it.

I hope you like it . I made the bow big size to emphasize the tiny size of the very baby penguin. This I felt added to the cuteness and aaahh feeling.

Thank you so much Clare, A big Hug is sent.
