Fantasy ButterfliesCompleted by Susan P. B.
OccasionI copied to premium, glossy photo paper. I cut out the center using my craft knife. I then cut a piece of acetate and backed the oval. I used some of Jolis DeAnglis insert paper cut to size , made a small hole upper middle.
I then cut out the central butterfly and built it up using sticky pads. I made a hole in the lower butterfly wing and threaded with silver 1mm ribbon, threaded it through the hole in the backing , made a small patch and glued down covering ends of ribbon.
Now I cut out the other two butterflies and decoupaged them to the front.
I attached the backing using d.s.t. one side to the back edge the other 5mm in from the edge. I backed with blue card curving it to fit. To finish it off I put some small flowers to follow the path of the blossom. It is a stand alone card because of the curve.
To post it gentle insert some tissue inside over the butterfly and it will not be squashed. A beautiful design with so much potential.
