Lillies and Pearls 1

A beautiful soft feminine design, suitable for so many occasions.I particularly chose "Special friend" with someone in mind. It was a joy to make with such pleasing results. I made an off- centre front close card shape. I printed the sheet onto 200gsm matte white copy paper, & cut out all the elements. I used pink card for the backing sheet 15.5cm Square and for the card itself 31x 15.5cm. I scored the card at 4cm&19.8cm, then Mountain folded. This formed the card back. I continued to finish the back using some coffee coloured lace 7cm wide with scallops both sides. I attached the lace to pink card temporarily and photo copied it so that I had 3x7.5cm lengths to trim & attach. I left the pink exposed on one scallop edge & trimmed to the scallop on the other edge.I carefully matched the scallop shapes at the top edge of the card on the M fold side with the straight pink edges attached to the straight edges and the trimmed scallop in towards the centre. With the 3rd strip I placed the straight edge along the edge of the centre M Fold. I used a Glue Runner to attach these. I then punched 6 small holes evenly through the lace scallops, turned the card over to the R side and threaded 3mm pink ribbon, attached on the inside with glue runner, on the ribbon itself. I made the 2 decoupages using d.s Foam tape and dots. I added pearl drops to the pearls in the oval, left to dry. I added the larger hat a small feather and a triple pink bow and the sentiment to the larger front panel using d.s tape and tiny pink pearl drops with a tooth pick to both centre fronts. The topper was then attached with D.s tape to the inside centre panel. A very very feminine pretty card. Thank you for the design.
