2, Beautiful Rose Toppers 2Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

What could be more pleasant on an unusually cold windy day that sitting in a sunny spot indoors with no internet, and making the 2 greeting card toppers offered by Ceredwyn Macrae.

I have used good quality white matte photo paper to make a 24x16cm main card which I have scored and folded.

I printed the sheet supplied twice onto 170-gsm matte white card an cut out one main image of the blue violet coloured roses and made and attached a silver oval backing sheet using D.S. tape.

I made 2 backing sheets joined at 9cm to form the violet and lime green 15x11cm backing sheet which I attached to the topper using D.S. tape.

I have used a fawn satin ribbon which matches the oval frame to attach horizontally and wrap around to the back of the 2 toned backing sheet before attaching this to the card front using D.S. tape.

I added the gold, silver glitter decorative peel of strip on all 4 edges of the white card before attaching the ribbon bow.

I used the second copy to cut out the rose blooms and attached them using padded D.S. tape. I have used glitter gold dust to gently brush across the face of the roses.

I have made a cream insert, which matches the background behind the lace on the main image and attached a small image of the finished topper.

I added some silver gold leaf and vine strips as extra embellishments. To complete the card front for the deep rose pink rose image, I have used 2 paper doilies measuring 16cm diameter and cut each in half, and overlapped them to make an oval.

I attached this to the back of the image before attaching this to the deep rose pink 16.5 x 14cm backing sheet.

I attached the ribbon horizontally across 6cm up from the lower edge. I attached this to the matte white 17 x15cm card front using D.S. tape.

I used the second image of the topper to cut out the roses and included some of the greenery and the centre of the bud.

I used padded D.S. tape to attach this to the card front and added silver peel off decorative strips and corners, the blank sentiment and the bow.

To finish the insert, I have added the deep rose backing sheets, the small image of the finished card front and some silver decorative peel off strips and corners.

Both cards have such universal use I have left the sentiment and verse area blank. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
