The Wheal Betsy Engine House has to be one of the most iconic buildings on Dartmoor and is the last remaining one of it's kind on Dartmoor.
Now owned by The National Trust.
It is situated by the side of the old coaching road, the A386 at Blackdown near Betsy Tavy on the borders of Devon and Cornwall.
This type of engine house was used to pump water from the mines which yielded tin, lead, zinc and silver.
