Gorgeous Bird In Water Color 8 x 8Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

A beautiful water colour print of a bird with Spring flowers.

I had a choice of making a quick card, which I did, or using some cutting and step to step skills. I chose the latter to pop on the site. I hope you like it

I copied the sheet onto a matt heavy card and made another copy in Crafty Bob's Gloss matt white card and one in Crafty Bob's Gloss card.( So 3 copies altogether)

I made the backing sheets up first. An olive green 13.5cm square, used double sided tape and attached a fawn shade card 13 cm square, I then added the topper cut from the heavy card also attached with double sided tape. I used the gloss copy to cut out the elements I wanted to use. The bird, the buttons, the flowers on the branch, and 2 of the most outside ( upper most) looking leaves, and. From the matt copy I cut out the border flowers, the bow with flowers the full branch and the bird.

These I put together on to the topper starting with all the matt copies, using the double sided tiniest little padded spots..I then did the same for the gloss elements I had cut out, putting them on as the top layer..

It was then, easy, to add larger pieces of heavier double sided tape from Crafty Bob's roll of special double sided, padded tape to the back of the Olive green backing sheet. I made a white card from Crafty Bob's A4 matt card 29cm x 15cm, folded it, attached a strip of double sided tape ( I didn't peel the backing off at this point), Attached the completed topper to the front of the card, l then lay the pink 2.5 cm wide and 30.5cm length of ribbon along the hard left edge of the topper and card, slightly tucking the ribbon under the buttons and the left hand bow. then opened the card and pulled the ribbon to meet the double sided tape on the inside. This will form part of the insert.

I am so pleased that I went to the effort, and I still have a quick one to pop into my stash as well. I have left the sentiment as it was, as I will use the sentiments provided to attach one to the card as I need it.

Thank you Monique for such a beautiful universal usage topper.

I hope you like what I achieved with this one.
